Hi all! Question about the location of the deluxe CL rooms. I know they are on a different floor than the lounge area, but just how far away are they? Should I be concerned with how far away we will be? I don't mind a little walking and hoping on an elevator (or taking the stairs) but I just want to prepare myself if it is going to be a hike!

No further than most of the rooms on the fifth floor, closer than some on the fifth floor.

Hi everyone!

Can I buy Disney gift cards at the front desk or at the gift shop in WS just before exiting the park back to beach club?? I'd really like to get some for m daughters, but they dont sell them in Canada :(

-just a thought: on the official Disney website, you can order giftcards and choose from hundreds of Disney characters and images. Very neat way to get "the perfect card" for someone. I remember them being mailed in an envelope to us that we received just a few days after ordering online. Alice in Wonderland, the Muppets and Phineas and Ferb to name just a few.

I didn't realize this. What floor are they on?

Here are the six rooms:
1557 has a patio and lots of windows - first floor
2557 has extra large balconies - second floor
4557 has extra large balconies - fourth floor
3557 has the standing room only balcony - third floor
3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony - third floor
4681 has a standing room only balcony - fourth floor

Thank you! Are these BC or YC? I wasn't thinking when I asked the question, I was just assuming YC since that is where we will be.

The new menu at Hurricane Hannah's looks great!

Can't wait until someone tries the lobster and shrimp roll!
I really like the lobster roll at the Captain's Grill - hope it's as good.

Welcome Home Teena!

Those are rooms at the BC. I think the deluxe rooms at YC are rooms 3209 and 4209.

Coincidently, just this morning, my "friend", BeachClubDee, started a thread about the YC Deluxe rooms and suites.

ETA- Oh, I see you found it.

Hello, fellow BC/YC lovers! Dee, I'm very excited to announce that you can finally move me from a maybe March 2013 trip to a definite!!! Right now we are booked 3/2-3/10. I have to split the trip into 4 separate reservations in order to be able to get the best discounts, so as of right now, we are in a garden view room every night except 3/7, which is booked for water view (that was the only night they didn't have a discount available for GV). It is crazy, but I'll do whatever it takes to get back to the BC...even if it means 4 different rooms in one trip. I'm hoping that I will just be allowed to just stay in my GV room, even though I am booked for a WV one night.
Teena, I think I read somewhere that you will be visiting your daughter at the end of Feb, but I'm hoping you will be back by the beginning of March. If not, I'll be disappointed to miss you, but I know you'll be having a fabulous time with the little princess!

Is it possible to get a Kids Meal at Hurricane Hanna's without the pail/shovel and is it cheaper?

I don't want to necessarily get a new pail/shovel each time we buy a kids meal.

Also, can substitutions be made for the kids meal sides and beverage (ie fries , soda)?

Thanks for any info!

Nope, sorry, these are the BC. I don't know the numbers for the dark side.

Darn!!!

I am so confused about the YC stuff!!!

I was going to ask you if you knew if 3209 and 4209 are Deluxe Rooms (which are different from the BC Deluxe) or if they are Suites. According to someone who stayed there and wrote a TR, 3209 has 2 Kings, a daybed and 2BR, and according to the Disney site, the YC Deluxe has 2 Queens and I think just one BR.

If they are not the Deluxe rooms, which ones are???

Are there any 1 BR Suites at YC?

Anyone out there know???

Sounds like BCD may have jumped the gun with the new thread. :worried:

I have no idea why I thought these were all on the same floor?! Haha! :confused3 Thank you!

Tweaked my stay. Now staying Pop 1 night since we have late arrival then YC CL 7 nights :)
27 more days Can't wait !! It was 37 degrees today and it felt so mild compared to the weather we've had so anything over. 60 on vacation will feel tropical :)

I know that YC/BC now has the new bracelets for park admissions and for entrance to room and for SAB and also charging to the room. Do you have to get these or can you get a key card for your room? I'm not a fan of having anything around my wrists.

How does this work for those of us who have a car when we go to the YC/BC, do they have a special reader at the gate? (We take the car to go to dinners and to other parks)

I'm an annual passholder so my room key is usually different than my park admission. Anyone know how this is going to work?

I did, right after I sent off this response! Thanks so much.

I just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Beth and we will be staying at BC for the first time this August as part of my 40th birthday trip! I can't believe it all worked out for us to be able to go; I am so excited! This thread has been so helpful! I can't thank you enough. I got so much useful info out of it and it was great to show my kids, who were initially really set on wanting to go to the Poly... once they saw a couple of pics, they were thrilled to try the beach club. And I love that because of everything I've learned on this thread, I have been able to answer a lot of their (and dh's) questions about the resort.

Dh and I have said for years that we would like to try the BC but never felt "ready" to make that leap. The deal through Magical Vacations inspired us to go for it. At first, I felt like I was settling because we all really planned that our next trip would be Poly again for sure. But now we are actually really excited and even if we could get a comparable deal at Poly I really think we would prefer to try BC.

Thanks again and look forward to trying to keep up around here! This place moves fast! :moped:

Yes!! Someone please try it and report back here before Thursday!! :)

What a great way to celebrate turning 40:thumbsup2
It is so nice on the boardwalk, love strolling to HS and Epcot.
Your kids will love the pool.

I'd be very interested in this info too. We haven't heard from ALMinVA, who's there now, maybe when she's back she'll give us the scope in a TR.
