Thank u tinkbyday! I have booked in a of a family suite....but am wondering if i should b looking at a moderate resort which actually shows up as about $882 less...my disney travel agent says book a of a now cuz they fill up fastest and then see what discounts come out...

I am almost afraid to join... It seems that every time I join one of these month pin code watches, something comes up and we are unable to go. So, I guess I join cautiously. We are planning on going Dec 1-8. The last time we were there was the same time period in 2010.

That's a tough one - you are going to have more room in the AoA Suite than a moderate. Which moderate were you thinking of?

Another option, and I only bring it up because you booked the suite, have you considered renting points in a villa? From what I have read on here, you can book a 1 bedroom villa for about the same as a moderate, but you have a kitchette and a little living room area.

We are wondering how Disney sends out PINS for room discounts. We have done many on-line surveys and saved many planned trips on the website but have never received any PINS. We have traveled to WDW every Christmas 2009-2011 plus have a July, 2013 trip reserved and a Dec, 2013 also. Not really interested in free DDP anymore, but a room only discount would be great for either July or Dec.

My friend and I will be at CSR December 14th-21st! Straight after our disney cruise Hoping for a PIN code or dining (although that is unlikely given our dates!!!)....any discount on hotels is good when you have to pay for an airfare all the way from Australia!!! Kinda helps off set some cost!

So we are taking our 8 year old son for the full Disney experience, very excited!!! Hope we made the right choice on hotels (debated WL vs Poly) and curious as to if deals will pop up. We stayed at WL with our son who was 7... he LOVED it. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Yes, definitely. The only thing I always wonder about is if we all book so early and Disney thinks the rooms are booked up at regular rates, will they still offer discounts?

I always wonder about that. I book early so I can chip away at the balance each payday but feel like I hurt the chances of a good discount.

We are tentatively going with Dec 25-Jan 4. We are in the process of selling our place for a bigger house, so there is a lot of wiggle room for dates. But for the first time in 5 years, we didn't go to DW this past year. HARD! We discussed how cool it'd be to surprise the kids with a trip on Christmas Eve, and take off Christmas day, and staying through the new year. Of course, cost of flights and deals with DW have a lot to do with this, but if everything pans out, with starting to look at flights this soon in advance, fingers crossed everything works out!
