I can put your name in Jamays spot for Minnies. I think we are full for the BBQ but you can take my spot. I don't need to go. :)

:cool1: I know I said it on Facebook, but congrats to you!!!

Are you sure Beth? I don't want to run you out! And thanks again :)

Just wanted to share some good news: I have a job interview scheduled with an old employer, my city, on Tuesday!
Best of luck to you. :wizard:
And one more thing...lol

This was taken 2 weeks ago- we have a healthy, growing baby!

so the hat we had made last summer before the mc can still be accurate! We are super excited :goodvibes I will be 15 weeks along at the Diva trip (and still ready to do the hunt, but I will be out for drinking - Katie and Capri will have to enjoy my shots and beverages!)
Yay, congrats!
Good morning, ladies!!

I hope you feel better now. I have low iron, too. I have for years. Maybe that's why I tire so easily.
I can't believe how fast time is going! :cool1:

Good luck, Cristabel!

Same here. Nothing fancy or over the top. I have no creativity! lol

Thanks. Still coughing and stuffy/runny nose.

Bummer you'll have to head out early!! I'm sorry!

Well, I've been told I am not allowed to miss the BBQ. :rotfl: I'd say just show up. One more isn't going to matter. We'll scoot over and make room for momma and baby! :goodvibes

LOL We'll see. I'll have to think of something! Maybe brownies....

Beth our scavy team is the PC (Pacific Coast) Cruisers.
Awesome!

Any other team names, ladies? :yay:

We went to a birthday party today. Ate too much. Spent too much time in the fresh air and sunshine. Now I want to go to bed and it's only 9PM! :scared1:

Good morning, ladies!! I hope you all had a good weekend. I am feeling a bit better. Coughing is my main problem now. Who knows how long that will go on!

I've been thinking about our family road trip to OR/WA that I've been planning. It is getting so expensive. The problem is just getting to WA and back adds 4 travel days. That adds more hotel, food and gas. But, flying isn't really an option either. I don't know. Hotels are just so expensive that time of year. Some of the same places Ruben and I just stayed at are over $100 more a night in summer!! :scared1:
Maybe a two week road trip with six people is just too long. :sad2: Maybe I should look into just going to northern CA instead. I really wanted to show the kids Washington though. Hmmm. I don't know. Adam is graduating in June, too, and that comes with it's own expenses.

Sorry. Just thinking out loud. We'll figure something out. We always end up having great family vacations, no matter what we do.:)

Beth, as the time gets closer, start looking up Hotwire and Priceline. If you get in the area that you like, and pick a good star level, then it should be fine.
You can even start looking now, to get some idea of where everything is, and pricing.

Kelly, love your team's name!

Goooooo PC Cruisers!!!

Don't forget, today is the 30-day mark for the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, just made reservations for Theresa and I!!

Beth, have you looked into the train? The Coast Starlight is supposed to be quite scenic. Drive to CA, spend a night with family, leave your car at their house (LOL), have them take you to the train.

I did, especially after we enjoyed the train ride to Michigan so much. But, then when we get to WA we'd need to rent a minivan and that pretty much negates any savings. Plus the train wasn't cheap.
Driving is definitely the cheapest option. But, it's still expensive, if that makes sense. lol

ETA: Just did another quick check on Amtrak and to go from Los Angeles' Union Station, up to Seattle, would cost us more than it did to travel from here all the way to Michigan last summer. Crazy, huh?!

Jen, congratulations on the baby! :cool1:

Beth, I hope it works out for you to get to Washington. I agree with Melody - try Hotwire and Priceline as the trip gets closer. :)

Thanks Mel. You can give props to Trudi for the name. She came up with that one and we all loved it. ;)

Trudi I think I am DEF going to need to get a scooter now LOL. The pressure is on ;)

Good morning, ladies!! :goodvibes

Pam and Mel, yes, I will try Hotwire and Priceline. I'm not giving up yet. I was going to, and instead just plan a shorter road trip up the CA coast. Which is also nice. I've never been to Monterey, Carmel, Santa Cruz. All lovely places for sure.
But... I just wanted to show my kids what we saw. Take them on the ferry, and show the girls Forks. Maybe they won't like it. I don't know. :confused3 Maybe I am over-romanticizing the whole thing and instead we'd end up cramped in the car for two weeks, tired of being on the road and at each others throats. :scared1: So, maybe a shorter trip someplace closer would be better. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens.

Have a great day, everyone!
