I will be on this cruise
It will be me and my DH and are friends from Scotland that we met on Disney Wonder back in 2010 ,this will be our Forth cruise with Disney and just Love Disney Cruise

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

My family is going with 2 other families on the Sept 1 Dream 4 night!

2 families will have one 5 year old boy and 1 family will have a 4 year old girl.

This is my family's 2nd Disney cruise on the Dream. We went in April 2012.

We are excited to go again as it rained almost the entire trip on the last cruise. We could not get off the ship in Nassau and the water was freezing in CC.

We will be sailing on this cruise too!
Last year we got married on the Dream on Sept 2nd. So I am really excited to be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary back on the Dream!!

WooHoo:cool1: We will also be on this cruise. It will be me, dh & 17 yr old dd...I just booked it this weekend. The only problem I see is that we haven't told my 19 yr old dd :rolleyes1 We are leaving her home. She will be in college and won't be able to take the time off school! She is going to be so mad at us :rotfl: But my other dd is excited to vacation w/o her sister!!

We have a carnival cruise booked for May 26th of this year. I am more excited for the DCL trip

This will be our first trip on the Dream!! We have sailed on the Magic twice and the Wonder once.

Just booked this cruise, so excited. Was on the Dream last September and it was awesome. Anyone know if there is an FE list or going to be?

Last year we got married on the Dream on Sept 2nd. So I am really excited to be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary back on the Dream!!

I was on that cruise too! Were you one of the couples that participated in the evolution game show (I think it was called match your mate or something like that)? I remember there was one newly wed couple.

So yeah, I did this cruise last year on Sept 2nd; it was my first cruise ever. I guess I ranted and raved so much about how fantastic it was that my Mom decided she had to do one too. So here we are just me and Mom on this one :)

This will be our first 4 night cruise. We have always done 7 nights. We just don't have the time or money to do a 7 night on the new ships. So, we opted for the 4 night. It is better go do a 4 night than not go at all :)

So, how does a 4 night differ from a 7? (I know, 3 days less). Is it hard to see every thing on the newer ships in just 4 nights?

We are not getting off the ship in the Bahamas. I think we are going to just explore and enjoy the ship.

We still don't know when we will tell our oldest dd that we are taking a cruise w/o her :scared: She is going to be so mad!

:) Hi! I've yet to do a 7 night, but I've heard there are more upscale activies on the Disney 7 nighters (Like a Gala night). Also more menus (The only special menu we will have is on 'pirate night'). However I've heard the special menus aren't the best anyways so I don't know that that's a loss.

You're idea of just enjoying the ship is brilliant! I've heard that when the ship is docked is the best time to enjoy the pools because everyone else is on shore and honestly my experiance in Nasseau was okay but not great. I tried to convince my mother that we should stay on the ship when docked in Nasseau but she's never been to the Bahama's and wants to see for herself.

However, now that I’ve seen Castaway Cay, I have to say, I think it’s worth missing a little ship time to enjoy. I’ve been to Cancun and Acapulco (Mexico), Sharm El Sheik and Alexandria (Egypt), Key West and California coast (US of course) and never have I been so in love with a beach as I was with Castaway Cay. White sand, crystal clear water, and on the adult side: zero running, splashing, screaming kids. There is magic on that Island pixiedust:. Then again I am a major beach lover so I might be a little biased.:rolleyes1

We have been to Castaway Cay three times. I would NEVER stay on the ship there. I am always one of the first ones off, running down the side walk trying to find just the right spot :) Also, snagging my DH a hammock for him to nap in!!

Not having formal night (or whatever they are calling it now) won't bother me. I am really going to try to pack light this time. On a 7 night, I always overpack! But on a 4 night, I shouldn't need too many things!

I am looking forward to the trip. I am just not looking forward to telling my 19 yr old that she isn't going! She is going to be very unhappy!! I thought about softening the blow by telling her that I will take her and her boyfriend to DW as soon as they get out of college for Christmas Break this year. That might make things better.

Joining in! It will be myself and my brother (25, and 21) and my parents for moms 50th birthday! (it was her gift) I've never been on DCL and very excited!! The only thing I know I'm planning for sure is Castaway 5k, Palo, and Senses spa massage! :) So excited!

Welcome on board! :goodvibes

We'll be joining you all for the September 1 cruise as well! This is our second cruise on the Disney Dream and just can't wait! We participated in the Fish Extender Exchange the last time we sailed it was a great experience! Any ideas if someone has started the FE list for this cruise? :)

:welcome:

So far as I know, no one has mentioned FE's yet, but I imagine it's still very early. I think we will participate too if there is one.
I'm also hoping we'll find time for a Champaign Girls event. I know 4 nights is not very long.
