:rolleyes1 Candace and I are investing in a new eraser for you..
:rotfl2:
It seems you and Candace's Bay Lake ships have sailed right over to Crescent Lake. Is this for sure? I know Candace wants Poly and what are you holding out for?

My DH can't wait to move to a warmer climate, he works outside. He'd take summer over winter anyday. Sadly until we hit the lottery or he retires...he will have to wait :worried:

My DH doesn't technically work outside, but he works in a lot of garages without central air and heat. He would much rather have winter than summer. Then again, we don't get feet of snow.

Good luck on your taxes...we were hammered this year :(

That IS a bummer

Ah...my dear, you know me too well  I'd love to stay on Bay Lake...with the right price tag of course....Seven Seas Lagoon always calls...however....DH said no GF :furious: and the Poly refurb  :duck:

At least I'll have my snack room :thumbsup2

Happy Monday Ladies :goodvibes

Let me try to catch up here....

pas - That labor day deal is a steal. I think you should hold on to it tightly! I wanted so badly to take advantage of it, but the kiddos start back to school right before then and I don't like them missing that early in the year. No castle, but SAB is so amazing!

Magic - How fun that you got to meet so many RCers. Sounds like you had a great trip! :thumbsup2

Luvluvluv - 2 upcoming trips! That is awesome. I hope you are adjusting well to living in Florida. I'm jealous! ::yes::

Dani - The bra comment had me laughing my butt off. So glad you and all the other ladies made it out of those relationships safely.

jenny - How's the hubs? I agree that sick men are the WORST.

Funny story. When I went into labor with ds6, DH was down in Texas on business. He hurried up, jumped on a plane and made it back JUST in time. When he walked in the room I had the nurse literally holding my legs shut to try to wait till DH got there. He looks at us and says, "Oh good I made it. I ran so fast through the airports that my feet are in the worst pain, you wouldn't believe it" :faint: Apparently he was wearing his steel toes shoes since he'd been on a site visit.

OMG. I thought the nurse and I were going to kill him with our glares. :rotfl2: Men are such babies sometimes. :confused3 Oh well. We love 'em anyway.

Minnie&nana - The cruise sounds wonderful! How nice that Sophia will be in the World this week. I bet she will have a blast! :lovestruc

wookie - Sorry DH and the ILs are putting you through the wringer. I hope that you can get a trip together. You really sound like you could use it.

sjs314 - Yay for the Poly! I think you may be right about the discounts there shriveling up. I may have to call and check if it's available at the BB rate. Now I'm feeling Poly-ish myself. :cloud9:

mom2munchkins - Sorry your trip is canceled. That only means one thing. More planning!!! :dance3:

chimo2u - Love your DL plans. I can't wait to read more as you finalize your plans!:cool1:

Alicein- I don't know if I be so concerned about BC over labor day. I was at YC last June when it was sold out and had no problems whatsoever with crowding at SAB or anything. :)

geishagirl - CSR looks amazing. I think it's first on my list to try next year when I have to start booking 2 rooms. I just wish it had a zero entry pool. I love being able to keep my toddler in the same general area as my boys.

padawans - So Universal is back in. Cool! If you can't play with your WDW ressies at least you play there. :thumbsup2

Mousemommy - I think it's a sign that Poly GVCL isn't coming up. YC CL is so amazing! :lovestruc But then, when I'm trying to switch and can't due to availability it makes me want the switch 10 times more. Then, if it pops up, it's like hitting the lotto! :confused3

Dznycrzy - DVC would be awesome. I wish I could afford it! :hyper:

basketlacey - I think you really should just plan to go to WDW and not come back. What's so wrong with that plan??? :rotfl:

Waving hi to Kook, Janet, DetTigsGal, Miss, and everybody else I missed! :wave2:

Okay time to play catch up again :) I'm feeling like I got so much accomplished the past few days, garage door and downstairs toilet are fixed (no I didn't do it, but finally called repair men), bills are paid and I even got all our quarterly business employment tax stuff done and paid! Now I can focus on Disney, which is NEXT WEEK!!!!!

Dani - did you make it to Nordstrom? I never have luck in department stores, I always end up back at Victoria's Secret, and I have the same well endowed problem. I had a little old lady fit me on Friday and shelled out $100 for two bras, OUCH! Oh and we LOVED Oasis and Allure, they are such awesome ships with soooo much for the kids to do!

Lacey - yeah we haven't had a bedspread the past three times we have been at WDW. I like the new sheet duvet system too. I like the idea of flying in and just staying ;) I hope you can get the airfare to work for you.

Wookie - hope you got all your school work turned in on time. Sounds like DH is on your side with the trip, I really hope you get a nice chunk back from the IRS!

MAGIC - I am jealous of your deluxe room at CR!!!!!

Jen - oh I love helping people plan their trips, yay for helping DH's aunt! I haven't been over to the BC/YC thread in a while, maybe I'll have to take a look at what is going on over there.

Mom2munchkins - bummer on postponing the trip. We LOVE October, the humidity is usually finally lower and the weather is so comfortable.

Candace - we are definitely a unique brand here ;) and YES LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE!!!!! Don't make DH forbid you from calling WDW at all!!!! LOL!

Marie - sounds like you are getting DL nailed down! YAY!!!

AliceIn - we have stayed at YC and CR while they were at capacity and we honestly didn't feel it. I can't comment on Poly as we haven't stayed there.

Geishagirl81 - sounds like you fit in perfectly here. I know a lot of people love CSR. We had a bad experience there, but I honestly think it was a fluke and it was just a lot of minor issues.

Padawans - sounds like DL is the better vacation for you in Sept! It is a bummer you can't refit the BB ;)

Deena - ill be there Feb 6-10, hopefully we can find a time to meet! Have a great mini stay at BCV!!!!

DetTigsGal - hope the freezing rain isn't too bad and everyone made it home safe and sound.

Padawans - sorry I'm no help with Universal, we have on,y stayed at Portifino Bay....and loved it ;) did you get brave and call CRO yet?

Hi Shelia, KOOK, dznyCrzy and anyone else I missed!

Melissa

i_heart - we must have been posting at the same time. I would have told DH to get out of the delivery room if he was complaining about his feet, LOL!!! I swear they just don't get it :)

I almost did! I'm glad I didn't cause now it's one of those stories I love to tell in front of him. Turns him a nice shade of red. :rotfl:

Is your trip this coming weekend?:banana::banana:

Happy Monday Peeps!! (do those words go together?? :rotfl2:)

Actually we just got back early this AM, after a quick long weekend away... definitely in a warmer climate... and guess who I ran into at the mall?? :goodvibes

:woohoo: Melissa!! :woohoo:

It was awesome to meet up with her!! We decided to tag along with DH who was attending a seminar in Florida, soooo I got to thinking about Melissa and wondered if she and I would be anywhere close for a DIS meet and it worked out! (Magic and Deena, already knew you were too far away or I'd be texting you too!:))

Here we are! Melissa is warm and friendly and beautiful (you can see that!) :flower3: and like to gab, like someone I know ...

MelissaandMe_zpsb5e91025-1_zps980c3899.jpg

Thank you Melissa for meeting up with Sam and I. I have so much fun, the time flew by! It was nice to sit and talk about the kids so now I feel like I know you and your family better. AND RCers... believe it or not, we did not talk about Disney that much! :faint: Amazing I know! :rotfl2: And we did NOT step foot into the Disney store (whatever was wrong with us Melissa??)

Well I guess we just had too good of a time gabbing and eating. :) Have a great trip this week!

:wave2: Hi to all my other Peeps! Will try and catch up soon :)

He hates to shovel...poor guy

I think that's the difference. If we get 6 inches here, that's a big blizzard.

Happy Monday Ladies :goodvibes

Happy Monday to you as well.

I bet his feet were hurting, but I'm surprise he survived the glares. He's lucky women can't really shoot daggers out of our eyes.

When I was pregnant with our oldest DS, Joey, I was hospitalized in my 31 week with hypertension and toxemia. Exactly one week after being admitted the protein levels in my urine got to a 7. I guess that's bad :confused3 because they sent me down to L&D and started me on another round of Magensium Sulfate (most painful drug ever!!) and Patocin. Both our parents were in the room with us, and the DH kept rubbing my face and arms with a damp cloth saying (just above a whisper) "rest....get some rest". Through gritted teeth, I finally said, "If you tell me to get rest one more time, I'm going to rip your (insert male body part that he has two of)." The mothers both looked at each other and decided it was a good time to get settled in the hospitals hotel for people that have family members in the hospital.

The sad thing is that the DH missed his first son being born. Between them taking me from the L&D room, him putting the scrubs on, and him getting to the OR room, they had decided to put me totally under and he couldn't come in. He was so excited to be there when John was born, I think death would have been the only thing that kept him away.

wookie - Sorry DH and the ILs are putting you through the wringer. I hope that you can get a trip together. You really sound like you could use it.

Luckily, they haven't said anything else about it. I just hope they don't go. I know he could get a lot of good information there. Heck if were anywhere else (even Vegas), I would be pushing him out of the door.

I would have to, or threatened to remove the pesky feet for him. :lmao:

I did, but now a new week has started.

I did some pricing for a 4n/5d trip and priced both AoA LM and the Pop. AoA LM came out cheaper (by about $47) than the Pop. Maybe it was b/c at the Pop I added the preferred room. :confused3

So, this is my question ladies (and I hope y'all have answers so I don't have to ask in the shark tank that can sometimes be the DIS outside of this thread) have you stayed at both the Pop Century and a LM room at the AoA? Which would you prefer? Are the beds better at the AoA? I know the bathrooms won't be the size they are at the CR, but if they beds are more comfy than those at the Pop I think I can deal with the bathroom. Are the LM rooms too girly for teenage boys? I'm really leaning toward doing value to make sure we can do the upgrade to DlxDDP and get tickets on 10/13 to MNSSHP.

Wookie, with the 4 of you (and being that you have 2 teenage boys), would do the AOA Suite (love the Cars one :)) or 2 rooms at POP. To me the LM rooms seem a little feminine. :goodvibes

BTW... Christine's (Minnie&Nana) daughter, son in law and granddaughter Sophia are there right now for 2 nights. Maybe she can ask her DD about the beds. :)

Pas- so far midterms seem to be going well. He really wants to make wind ensemble for band. Today was engineering and English, tomorrow is the end... French 3 and alg 2.

Melissa- we are at tennis now, no musical rehearsal tonight. He is in the ensemble for the school musical "carousel".

DetTigsGal ... that's great the midterms are going well for him.:thumbsup2 My DD has them Tues, Wed, Thurs this week. Yikes!

Good luck to him on auditioning for wind ensemble! :goodvibes

I would love to do two rooms at the Pop, but this trip is all about making the budget as small as possible. I did price a suite at AoA and I would rather go that route, if we can't make the WL work.

What instrument does he play? I played flute, tenor sax, and was the lead on the cymbal line. Neither of my boys liked band. :( They both wanted to do percussion, but you have to try out for that. The year Joey tried out there were 32 kids. Of those kids, at least a dozen had been taken drum lessons for a years. Most of those dozen had been taking them for 5 or more years, so he didn't stand a chance. John missed the try out for percussion. He did try to trumpet, but didn't like it.

No changes, and maybe no RPR cl. I'm keeping my pet room for know. I didn't like the kennel as much as I thought. I'm going to keep looking around. It was nice and clean, but it had no outside area. I am a very fussy dog parent. This is why I did not want a dog. :faint: I will use my BB in some fashion in May. I'm just not sure where.

Janet B- thanks, he should find out Wednesday. There are currently 2 French horns in wind ensemble and one is graduating. He is first chair concert band and there are 4 in that band, with none coming up.
Best wishes to you dd next week :)

Wookie- he plays the French horn in band and the mellophone in marching band. He wasn't too sure about continuing when he went into the high school, but we said with all honors classes it would be a break. Well, he loved it after the first rehearsal in July and has never looked back. Almost all of his friends are band kids and the band director is terrific.
