Had a stone I couldn't pass because it was to big. Went to the Lahey Clinic in Boston for a procedure called a Lithotripsy. They do a spinal then hoist you up in the air and lower you into a tank of water and pound you with sound waves. Turned the stone to sand. After the spinal wore off I felt like I had been beat. The sand had to removed via a scoop because like most wet sand it clumped, But that's another story.

Yikes! That is what they are talking about doing, Lithotripsy, but they didn't quite describe it that way :scared1::scared1: have an appointment this morning so I can get the CT results and they are going to look in bladder. Hope I can made it, freezing rain this morning, yuck!

You read my mind.....
I am now pushing for 4 nights in Hawaii (on Kauai) and then going on the TA in May. ;)

I say go for it. Should I write a note of recommendation?

Maybe I should change my screen name to 'pebbles' :rotfl2:

I bet she will be updating on the new Part Two thread with a list of who is signed up --- we hope to transition to that soon where all pertinent info is on page one :) In the meantime here's some info here: https://sites.google.com/site/onamagicaltransatlanticjourney/home/organized-events/fe-exchange

whew - this thread is getting tough to keep up on without internet while at work (I have a GREAT job that allows me to surf if I can find a connection point)

My heart goes out to all who are suffering - be it flu, stones or other maladies.

Low platelets are a life threatening issue - please don't wait, if no appointment today, PLEASE go to the ED (emergency department - they don't call them ER any more).

On another note -

RIDE SHARE REQUEST!!

we are heading to DLRP after Barcelona, and our flight back to the US leaves CDG on June 8 at 8am. Is anyone else flying out that date and that early? We are thinking we should arrive no later than 6am at the airport (leaving the resort at 5am I guess - eeeewwwww). We may have a friend driving us, but if we can find a ride share we will book a van. The costs ranges - but the best I found so far is 69 Euro (about 92.00 USD) PM me please if you are interested!!

This is what I have:

31 cabins in total with 62 adults and 25 children, im sure this number will rise.

But that was from a while ago. I looked it up (page 118) because I got some stuff yesterday!

I bet binkytell will update soon. She's been working a string of nightshifts at the hospital I think. We also have a FE placeholder on page one of Part Two thread when that goes live. :thumbsup2

would be so much easier if we could have a new thread with all this info on the first pages for group activities,we
would then just be able to go on edit/update.

sarah :listen:

Here's that FE post -- last updated January 12. We have a placeholder for this info on new thread - which should hopefully go live in a couple days or sooner! :)

Yup, can't wait for the new thread! I need all the help I can get in simplifying things!

I just guesstimated with those numbers. I figured we will split up the groups, but got enough small stuff for everyone! This FE group is interesting in that there are far fewer kids. We might actually have to do the wine glass holder! Haha :drinking1

Hope all of you are feeling better. My mom and grandma just got over being sick and my grandmas nurse told her she had picked up the stomach flu that is known to hit cruise ships and everyone on board gets sick. My mom went over after she was feeling better and came down with it the next day then my dad got it. I guess grandma forgot to clean all the door handles in the house. sure hope we all get through our illnesses before the trip.
I am getting so excited for the trip and can't wait to get out on the ocean.

Thanks to all those who are setting things up and spending extra time to help make a very memorable cruise for all.:thumbsup2

Howdy All,

Long time lurker here. Very excited that my family has just booked the EBTA. We're a military family and very much looking forward to some time off after this last tour. We've cruised with Disney one time before back in 2004 so we expect things will have changed. Still, we can't wait to get going.

BTW, it'll be me, my wife, and our four girls, 15,13,9,7. Can't wait to get underway! Is it May yet?

JP

Welcome! You sound like me (totally outnumbered by the opposite gender in your family haha.)

Welcome!! :woohoo: If you are looking for some relaxing time off, you have picked the perfect cruise!!

As we get closer to sailing and if some of you are like me it also means a bit of shopping for a few new things for our vacation. Please feel free to share your great finds, coupon codes, free shipping codes and such. I love a great deal!! :goodvibes

One thing I will mention that I absolutely love for the girls. Lands End sells these awesome packable raincoats, packs into a pocket. They can be used for rain or as a windbreaker type layer.

Eddie Bauer sells a version for adults.
