Question: If the BC/YC is completely booked up, how busy is it at the resort? In the concierge lounge? I'm assuming that Disney amps up their service to make sure guests are taken care of.

I'm booked 8/31 through 9/7. I believe the resort is fully booked the Labor Day weekend only. Will it be ok?

I think so!

I haven't been that time of year, but since many southern schools have already started, and most northern schools are in session Sept 3 or earlier, you will definitely see a dip in the crowd level for most of your trip.

I have to think that the resort will be equipped and ready for a full house, as they are during other busy times like spring break, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We will be coming back to stay for our honeymoon 11/10-11/18, We got engaged when staying at the beach club on 1/1/12 so there wasn't a doubt in my mind which resort I wanted to stay at for the honeymoon.:)

My sister booked her trip!!!! I am so excited for her its their first trip to disney and she is staying at the BC CL August 23-30th. I have the best of both worlds I get to take my family on vacation and my sister will be there the same time. We tried to get them a room at YC but they sold out of room at our TA. I'm still happy I can't wait to see my niece and nephew faces at they see the castle for the first time. I am considering moving my dates to match hers...... Hmmmm

Can't I just say thank you everyone for being so welcoming to all the new comers. I have been on other threads for other resorts and been afraid to post because of the ppl on the thread . This thread has the nicest group of ppl I have encountered on the dis in my opinion! - thanks everyone!

Well I hope its ok... it was the only resort I could get into when I booked this vacation. I waitlisted BCV but it didn't come through. It's a marathon weekend!

It looks very nice, you'll have to let us know how the stay compares!!

I don't understand? I just did a quick check and both BC & YC are available for Labor Day weekend (both with several room types available).

This past Labor Day weekend, I called on Saturday morning in route to WDW and got a room at the YC with the military discount for 2 nights.

Does anyone have pictures of the view from the standard view club level rooms (supposedly of a rooftop or parking lot)? We are trying to decide between the standard view club level or water view regular rooms. Thanks

Love this thread!! So much good information! Can't wait to catch up on everything that's gone on since our last visit.

Could you add us to the list for 2013?

We'll be back at the BC May 25th-June 2nd!

We've adjusted our plans a bit. Could you change our dates to:

May 27th-June 4th

Thanks!! Can't wait to get back.:goodvibes

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone who has been to BC lately could answer a beverage question. I have not been to BC in a few years and am wondering what the hot tea selection is in the beverage center at BC Marketplace is. If anyone has a recent photo of this area, or knows which teas are regularly offered, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Ok then no worries it could just be the wonderful (NOT!) new website lol . It's so unreliable lately

I can't get it to work right. I haven't been on it much because when I go to it and its missing one of our reservations I have an anxiety attack. I call WDW, and they always have it in their system. So I decided it would be less stress on me (and DH) if I stopped using it until they worked the bugs out!

I do! I stayed in room 5670. There was a full balcony. The view out of the front was blocked by a tree, but it would have looked out onto the Beach Club parking lot.

Here are a couple of posts from my 2010 Trip Report describing the room:

Back to the Beach:

Our day continues to be magical- our room is ready! We are glad we will be able to ditch our travel bag and we are excited to check it out. Do we have a full balcony, like I requested? How will the view be? Although we had an incredible, spectacular view last year (overlooking the BC back entrance, SAB and Boardwalk), we just booked a standard view this year. The view is not a big deal to any of us, as long as I have a balcony to escape to with my coffee and book in the early morning hours.

We go in, open the curtains and see…

We won’t be doing much people-watching this year, but the location is awesome! We are maybe 7-8 rooms from the Concierge Lounge and close to the elevator.

The room gets thumbs up from us! :thumbsup2

My DH experience fireworks in the room. Again and Again (G-rated post)

Just as I was settling in for bed after a very long, very busy, wonderful day, the Illuminations fireworks started. I could hear the blasts and went out to the balcony. And, you guessed it! We could see some of the fireworks off to the right!

This was such a welcome discovery. We get an early start every morning, so by 8 PM everyone is just pooped. It always bothers me that we are less than 10 MINUTES AWAY from the Illuminations show, but we are too tired to go to see it most nights. So I was beyond excited when I realized that we would be able to step outside for a hassle-free show any night we wanted. Perhaps accompanied by an adult beverage from the lounge!

I enjoyed the pyrotechnics and smiled at our amazing luck. A giant tree blocking the view from our balcony? Ok, but not perfect. The view of fireworks? Priceless!

I hit the sack and slept pretty soundly. The end!

But wait! The next morning after Mark woke up he informed me:

“You know, you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our room”

“No way!” “Way!” (conversations at 6 AM are not very witty)

He watched the fireworks right from bed. And it was an excellent view. I watched Nightastic every night from our room or balcony (except our last night, Friday), which is exceptional because I am pretty tired by 10 PM. I don’t think I was able to get any great photos because it was pretty far away. I know one night I took videos, but I haven’t found the file yet and I don’t know if the quality is “postable”.

Here is a picture that shows where we could see the MK fireworks- In between the building on the left and those two taller trees:

It must have been a reservation system glitch yesterday. I'd looked it up to see what rooms were available for somebody else, and the entire resort showed unavailable for dates. It's back to normal today. Whew! Sorry for causing any confusion.

Pixarmom took both of these pictures. She is at the World now and plans to stop by the BC but I'm not sure if she will be updating the pictures on this trip.

Thank you for posting her pics for me. It looks like a nice selection if that is indeed what they still have. Thank you.

I'm not a tea drinker (coffee is my vice of choice), but I do know they sell Twinings in one of the shoppes in the UK in EPCOT. Again, not sure exactly which varieties they offer.
