Quick question: do all rooms at AKL have a built in hairdryer? Thanks?

I think so! Our room, non club level, non DVC did.

Haha. Glad to help!

To stay on subject, we barely used our balcony that trip. Wasps got there first.:(

I have a confession, it's been one whole year since we have been to WDW and I am having serious withdrawal:scared1:Therefore I am now in full on planning mode, for a trip that I can't pinpoint the dates for until after I am done nursing school in August. I am thinking October or November, also depends on the Eat to the Beat concert schedule, I always try to plan our trip when one of our favorite bands is there. Anyway, we always stay at AKL but we are considering CL this trip. Tell me about CL, are there pool view CL rooms? What are the food selections? We always get the dining plan but end up with so many meals left over, that it is not cost effective for us, thinking CL may be just enough breakfast and snacks for us, along with one big meal a day. Any help or thoughts are appreciated !!

Deos anyone here have the room map of DVC AKL Jambo? I saw it somewhere, where it showed where all the villas were, but now I can't find it. I'm specifically looking to see how many value 2BR exist & where they are located. I think they're all overlooking the entrance if I remember correctly.

This link might be helpful. I just remembered I book-marked it ages ago! I haven't seen any updated maps (although there certainly might be one!) The Value 2-bedroom would be the 1-bedroom lock-offs and studio lock-offs on Ostrich and Giraffe Trails (most face pool or savannah - only a few on Ostrich Trail are front facing.) :)

Thanks Rachel Tori!!! There is another map out there that specifically shows which are values & which aren't, but yours shows me what I needed to see!

Can anyone tell me if I can make room location requests if I'm renting points or does the DVC member I'm renting from have to do it for me? Thanks!

The DVC member is the only one who can contact Member Services to make requests/changes/etc.

You're welcome! If you do find the map you were referring to, would you please post it (or a link to it) here?! Thanks! :goodvibes

Laura, you have been busy this past week answering questions.... only 5 days left....

Thank you for asking about breakfast buses!!! We have two 8 am breakfasts, and an early epcot tour.

I hadn't gotten the chance to Google bus times, and AKL makes me nervous being so far out.

Another option, if you are really concerned, would be to use a cab.
Call down to bell services about 20 minutes before you are ready to go & ask them to get a cab for you. You may want to make the arrangements earlier if you will need a vehicle that can carry more than 4 people.

It has been ages since we've used that option, but AKL to the Speedway was about $20. I'm sure it has gone up since then. Cost a little extra, but you have the piece of mind of skipping the bus (and maybe get to sleep in an extra 20 minutes).

There is so much else I could be (should be!) doing since I'm no longer working, but since I'm leaving for WDW soon..........

it will all keep till I get home!!! :rotfl:
