We just received our stateroom on the Magic and reviews I have read said noise from the embarkation/ports/disembarkment along with noise from the clubs since we are near the elevators/stairs. It really had mixed reviews as others said quiet. I am a little worried. Our kids are 9 and 6... :confused3

I have stayed in stateroom 2000 and loved it! The only time there was noise is when we we docking or leaving and the bow thrusters were in use. Also one afternoon we could hear the music from the WD theater. But we were not in the room a lot.

It was very convenient to the adult clubs and restaurants.

Truly liked this area!

We booked GTY. I do agree, better than work :yay:
Like I said there were mixed reviews..I really think there could be noise anywhere from any source!
Thanks :tilt:

We had cabin 2024 on the Wonder. We heard zero noise from the club above. Also no noise from the elevators or stairs. It was a great location and I would book it again without hesitation.

You'll probably hear nothing, they just have to warn you that you're below the "nightclub" and possibly above the crew bar! But they have audio level controls in place, so if you hear anything just call guest services and they'll more than likely turn it down.

We haven't been on the Magic but we have been as far forward as you can go on deck 2 on the Wonder. No noise from clubs or the Theatre. We did hear noise when we were docking but that wasn't too bad or too early.

Which elevators are you near? The forward elevators only have rooms around them. The mid-ship elevator has Edge. We were in 2552 & 2554 (just forward of the midship elevators on the Wonder and were directly under Wavebands (Rockin' Bar D on the Magic). We never heard a thing from above (and we're not particularly late to bed people, so we were in the room when stuff was going on).

And I never really noticed any noise from the kids club. It's my understanding that the kids in Edge are reminded that they are to behave themselves when leaving the club and traveling through the room areas (which they really don't need to, as the entrance to Edge is directly across from the stairs, between the elevators).

The forward elevators room 2524.

We have stayed in 2508 on the Magic and 2544 on the Wonder and they were terrific. Your room would be halfway between those and I would imagine it would be great.

We were in 2030 on the Magic -- it's the cabin next to the cabin they use to denote the which cabins are close to the forward elevators. We were VERY close to the forward elevators (LOVED it). And heard nothing except out neighbors (when their kids had as a big of a fit as ours do).

We had cabin 2010 on the Magic for a 14-night transatlantic crossing in 2011. No issues whatsoever - and we also had two children with us (ages 5 years and also 15 months). Loved that the room was also longer than the standard 9c cabins (2-3 feet between couch and window)

Really? Do you have any pics?

Did you stop at any ports that required tenders? We were on a Carnival cruise to Grand Cayman once and I swear it sounded like the anchor chain was coming through our cabin at around 5am. Since then we've always chosen cabins near aft elevators.

We tendered at Cabo San Lucas and Grand Cayman and heard only mild noises. Nothing that really bothered us.

Did you feel much motion?

Ds12 & I cruised the Magic from NYC for a 2nt cruise to nowhere in 2519 and didn't feel much. It was so short, we were barely in our cabin. :sad1:

Was 2508 also extended in length? Extra space is nice! Even if it's just enough space to tuck a back pack out of the way.

We never felt motion anymore than anywhere else on the ship. I may be confusing rooms but I do believe 2508 was the room with the extra space. My 5 year old enjoyed playing on the porthole in the space.

Wanted to post that our room 2524 on the Magic was perfectly fine. Yes, there was some noise before we left with loading of luggage and yes, I heard a little bit of something going on at times, but overall was pleased with the room. We did have a little bit of an issue on the last sea day with a strong Oder of paint or chemical smell in the room. We called guest services, someone was sent down, got two calls from Guest services checking on us and when we returned from Dinner there were two stuffed animals left for our kiddos and the smell was practically gone. We suspect they were painting or doing something directly below us as that is where you get off/on at port. Rocking of the boat for us...no different than any other room we have stayed in on our other cruises :)

Wish we were going cruising!!!
