January 4, 2014 Fantasy, Trust, and Pixie Dust!

Sounds nice! Not something I am able to do this trip but for the future, I would want to try it.

I'm not sure when I'd do a FL cruise again. The 3 and 4 nights don't seem as worth it. If I love the Fantasy I guess I'll be back but I'm interested in more interesting ports. The Caribbean ones don't do much for me. So I'm going to take advantage of this relatively cheap concierge and go for it. My next cruises will be Alaska and maybe a Med and no way could I afford concierge on those. Besides I won't want it on a classic ship anyway I don't think. I don't know. I might get spoiled, lol!

Count us in ! We actually booked while still on the Jan 12th Eastern cruise this year ... Couldn't face the idea of doing anything else for our next vacation !
My partner and I are Swiss and Belgian respectively but we've been living in the UK for more than 10 years.
I will celebrate my 40th on the ship on the Costa Maya day.
We decided to go for a balcony stateroom this time so will be on Deck 6.
We will then spend another week in WDW before heading back home ...
Can't believe we still have over 340 days to go !! :worried:

BTW: I think you have to use the url code to post the sticker.

Welcome to the thread! We are lucky that we have such an active thread so early on to keep us entertained for the remainder of the year. :-)

Four of us just booked on this cruise. Our two children will be 8 and 6.

We took the Fantasy last year on the 7 day Eastern Caribbean and wanted to do the Western too!

Don't remember the stateroom # but if we do the FE, I'll post later. We did book concierge on Deck 12.

:cheer2:Welcome, Shaggy430. I'll have my 6 year old granddaughter with us.

My son will be 6 too! I hope we can link dining with some of you with little kids. :)

My granddaughter lives in Santa Clarita. Maybe we should try and arrange a meet-up with the kids so they'll get to know each other before the cruise? You can meet my son and DIL.

Glad to have you sailing with us. How was the weather (and water) during a January cruise?

The weather was really quite nice...anything compared to an Iowa winter would fall into that category...lol! The first two days at sea and the excursion days were sunny, a bit windy but warm. The last sea day was absolutely fabulous...warm, sunny, little wind...perfect. On Castaway Cay day, the weather was dark/overcast and chilly in the morning. People were not lining up to get to the beach! My husband and I got off the ship around 10 a.m. and went over to Serenity Bay where it was VERY windy...water temp was chilly, but there were some brave souls splashing about on the family beach. Later in the afternoon, the clouds made way for sun and it became much warmer.

Honestly, I really don't think that we could have asked for better weather.:thumbsup2

We could do that definitely. Summer and fall would be a good time to start.

We just sailed on the Disney Dream January 2 - 6. Weather was perfect. Captain even said the ocean was like a lake and temperatures 70-80 the whole time.

That's great!!!

I would love those kinds of weather condition! Ocean like a lake and 70-80, sounds like perfect cruising conditions!
