Man, now that's another playlist I need to make in iTunes. . .Perfact beach tunes, there.

I was behind an update or two...

What a great start at AK

EEEMH (Everest Early Extra Magic Hour)

Haha. That's what it is for me!

I love your pictures from the safari- really nice shots of the hippos. I'm not sure that I have seen them out of the water before. Or maybe I am never looking on the land as we go by.

The CM said this was unusual..

That is one great shot of a lion tale!

:rotfl2:

But of course the cutest animal picture of all from that day is the mama with her baby ducks!

It was. That was too cute. She had her own handlers and everything! I loved it!

I didn't know about the DQ ticket now being included with the packages. Blech! We went once or twice, not my cup of tea! The Pirates Simulation is cool. The River Rafting was too hard for my family. We didn't try cyber space mountain- any comparisons to Sum of All Thrills in EPCOT? Better? Worse? Different?

I'm probably going to use the DQ voucher just to do cyberspace mountain. It really is more realistic than Sum of all thrills.

The biggest issue we had at DQ were rude people. There is no real time limit to the games you are playing, so you can be waiting in line to try something and the guy using the game doesn't leave. Once we waited about 10 mintues for a game, when the guy (always a guy) finally left, another family tried to swoop in and play. Um. NO!

That is frustrating indeed. There seemed to be a lot of line cutting there, which really made me mad. We were there all of an hour and a half and did three things.

I loved your visit to the Yacht & Beach Club, of course, complete with secret passageway.

:thumbsup2

You had a really fun journey into the World Showcase. I have never successfully executed the phone call to the booths! I now have the numbers programmed into my phone, but on one trip, either I kept forgetting to bring the number or I had the numbers but not my phone. Then, on our June class trip, the night we were in the world showcase was pouring rain!

Eventually you will!

My family enjoys the Cape May Cafe too. Glad to hear you will be eating there a couple of times soon.

I'm excited about that meal. I always feel like that is one of the better buffets in the evening because of the lack of characters. It makes it more relaxed. I am kind of over the whole character meal for dinner thing.

Yep, sounds like DisneyQuest is pretty much the same as it was back in 2004. :sad2: But, it sounds like y'all made the best of the rest of the day and had a nice, leisurely time.

Love that your DH called the phone booth and surprised your DD!

We did have a good time. I think the phone booth was one of the more fun things we did!

Somehow I missed your last couple of updates and just saw them now when the thread got bumped! I'm all caught up now though!

Looks like you ladies had a busy day! I love how you and your husband surprised your daughter with the phone call! It looks like you really got her.

I love Sweeties bag!

Great pictures all around the resorts too, such lovely scenery :goodvibes

We really love Cape May, but we've only ever gone for Breakfast. I could go for some of that breakfast right now :rotfl:

After getting the sleep we so desperately needed, we got up early the next morning for rope drop. . .

DSC_7676.jpg

How many people can they squeeze in?

DSC_7677.jpg

No halting for the rope drop.

DSC_7680.jpg

Everyone seems to be going the same way, though

DSC_7684.jpg

Here

DSC_7685.jpg

I love the theming over here, I really do.

DSC_7687.jpg

So, 8:45 with a wait time of 20 minutes. Remember that.
DSC_7689.jpg

Line is moving quickly

DSC_7690.jpg

Monkeys and Scrabble? Looks like my son’s floor except there should be killer Legos thrown in there.

DSC_7693.jpg

He was working!

DSC_7698.jpg

Yeah, the cars spin too much for that

DSC_7700.jpg

Was I the only kid who loved Lincoln logs more than Tinker toys?

DSC_7701.jpg

So, 16 minutes in line and ride all told, and now it’s up to 60 minutes? This, ladies, and gents, is why I go ahead and do standby and let everyone else waste their time getting fast passes.

DSC_7703.jpg

By 9:00, it’s already at that window? Pure craziness.

And this is where I’m going to interject with a little opinion. Although I don’t completely like the idea of the nextgen and Fastpass+, I think it could possibly alleviate the bottleneck that is Toy Story Mania. While I’m not a fan of having to plan so much out, I’m also of the opinion that since Disney is almost definitely going to do it, we might as well get used to it and make the best of it. Complaining on the message boards honestly won’t help, and complaining before we know all the details really doesn’t help either.

Okay, off soapbox.

We headed away from the area, where we saw these. Brave had either just opened or was about to.

DSC_7704.jpg

DSC_7705.jpg

Okay, it was about to.

DSC_7706.jpg

Apparently Tigger and Eeyore need lots of handlers. I understand. I can’t imagine the parents who would jump them!
DSC_7707.jpg

Will I get Sweetie to ride it?

DSC_7710.jpg

We look happy!

DSC_7711.jpg

DSC_7714.jpg

Fast passes first!
DSC_7716.jpg

Great times, too!

DSC_7717.jpg

What do you think Sweetie will think?

No worries! We did have a busy day and we were so tired! I would love to try Cape May for breakfast, but never seem to be able to fit it in!

Good start to the day @ DHS! :thumbsup2

I prefer to ride TSMM standby 1st & then grab FPs if it works with our morning. Just seems logical.

I'm a little apprehensive about all this FP+. But, I'm trying to wait for more info to come out before I get upset. :rotfl2: I figure by the time our December trip rolls around, I should be plenty prepared for it.

I am going to say that I bet Sweetie rode ToT with you and enjoyed it!

Subbing! Love all the pictures, and love hearing about all the meals - sounds like you ate at all the tastiest places! :goodvibes

That seems like a good plan (re FP). We have to get those RnR FPs, so we ride each. There should be plenty of anecdotal comments about FP+ by December. I hope that it is better, though.

This picture reminded me of one a friend of mine had this picture on Facebook this week

DonaldwiththeDucks.jpg

I saw this! It's so cute!

Subbing! Love all the pictures, and love hearing about all the meals - sounds like you ate at all the tastiest places! :goodvibes

So glad to have you! We did have some awesome meals.

When we last left you, we were heading to the Tower of Terror. This was the wait time:

DSC_7717.jpg

and Sweetie and I did not agree about this ride. I wanted her to try it. She didn't want to try it.

DSC_7718.jpg

I got her in line, and she wanted to chicken out, but she did it.

Her verdict: the ride would have been better and less scary without the storyline. She loved the ride, but the story scared the fool out of her.

After getting her to ride, we headed to

DSC_7729.jpg

Sweetie had this:

DSC_7725.jpg

Peanut butter Darth Vader cupcake

I had my favorite:

DSC_7726.jpg

Red velvet cupcake.

After all, I had to bribe her, didn't I?

By that time, we headed here:

DSC_7734.jpg

DSC_7735.jpg

Love this door

DSC_7737.jpg

DSC_7739.jpg

Best few seconds!

Sweetie really has not been a fan of this ride, but this time she was fine with it. We were in the middle of the ride, which made it better for her.

DSC_7740.jpg

DSC_7741.jpg

It was getting crowded:

DSC_7745.jpg

After this, we headed to:

DSC_7754.jpg

I love the effects over here!

DSC_7756.jpg

No one does theming like Disney!

DSC_7772.jpg

Streets of America!

Coming up, touring more.

That's great that Sweetie tried ToT! And at least she liked the ride itself and just disliked the storyline.

Those cupcakes look delicious!!

Loving your TR....can you believe I've never had a Disney cupcake? Well you've convinced me to try a few this time!

I'm a big ride wimp and have never been on ToT or RnR. I have some family members who keep trying to convince me, but so far, they have not been successful lol I agree with you about Disney's theming though - there is nothing like it!

The storyline, if you are younger, can really scare the heebies out of you! And those cupcakes are a must for me every trip. I'll be getting one in two weeks!

Oh, you have to try them at Starring Rolls and at the Contempo Cafe!

There is absolutely nothing like Disney theming! It is absolutely awesome every time!

After leaving Star Tours, we headed for a little "walk in the park", so to speak. . .

DSC_7774.jpg

My favorite fountain in the park. . .I love it, and I don't really know why. I think it's because I grew up loving the Muppets

DSC_7775.jpg

Another one here.

DSC_7776.jpg

Sweetie in the same spot. YOu can tell how humid it was that day, because her hair is frizzing up.

DSC_7782.jpg

San Francisco?

DSC_7784.jpg

I truly needed to sit down by this time!

DSC_7788.jpg

Sweetie as a Storm Trooper? During an actual Star Wars weekend day, this will have a Photopass photographer here.

DSC_7794.jpg

Watch out for the water spouting Coke bottle!

DSC_7797.jpg

I think these guys are so cool!

I had decided to go over to the Pixar area to see what the wait time was for Toy Story Mania. . . .

DSC_7798.jpg

Anyone care to get in that line. Note the time--it was 11:14!

DSC_7805.jpg

We headed for a slower pace. . .

DSC_7808.jpg

They've moved Mickey to the front from over at the Brown Derby. While I miss him being over there, I think he deserves the spot at the front of the park. I believe, though, this is also the location for the Christmas tree? So what happens at Christmas is beyond me. . .

DSC_7809.jpg

DSC_7810.jpg

We headed over for lunch. If I remember correctly, I was probably driving. Then, we did some window shopping.

DSC_7812.jpg

DSC_7818.jpg

DSC_7819.jpg

DSC_7827.jpg

Have a spare $2500 for a crystal castle?

DSC_7828.jpg

DSC_7831.jpg

Or $6800?

DSC_7833.jpg

This one is a bit better. . .

DSC_7835.jpg

But this price tag

DSC_7836.jpg

DSC_7839.jpg

We went somewhere where we could afford the fare. . .

DSC_7844.jpg

I want that sculpture!

After all of that shopping, we headed back to the room so we could rest. And what does Sweetie do? Well, what she is always doing:

DSC_7847.jpg

Reading.

Coming up. . .finishing our day with a bang!

:woohoo: for Sweetie being a good sport on ToT and RnR!!!

My youngest son is not a fan of Tower of Terror either, and it is totally because of the storyline. The creepy electric people get him every time.

Your cupcakes look awesome! I saw the Darth Vader ones when I went to Starring Rolls. I was tempted, but I'm not wild about cupcakes. I went with a fruit tart there.

Look forward to seeing more!

Looks like a nice, leisurely time y'all were having!

I really want that little castle....so cute! :goodvibes

Thanks! I was proud of her too. Those electric people are really creepy, and I had her close her eyes for that. Otherwise, she probably would have cried. I saw the fruit tarts at Starring Rolls. I probably would have gone with one in absence of a cupcake, lol!

Thanks, and I want all of those castles, but unfortunately my pocketbook won't oblige!

After a nice nap, we headed over to Epcot for the night. We had dinner at Chefs de France and then watched Illuminations. We also stuck around for evening EMH. This is one of many times I really wished we had been at an Epcot area resort, as the walk from the front of Epcot all the way to Chefs de France seemed unusually long that day. Anyhow, without further ado, our pictures:

DSC_7848.jpg

That great big golf ball propped up in the sky.

DSC_7856.jpg

Dinnertime!

DSC_7859.jpg

We could see everything going on from here.

DSC_7871.jpg

DSC_7954.jpg

BANG!

DSC_7959.jpg

DSC_7961.jpg

DSC_7999.jpg

DSC_8013.jpg

DSC_8016.jpg

I bought some before we left and have been wearing almost daily recently

DSC_8019.jpg

DSC_8026.jpg

I hadn't planned on how early they close, so I hit the margarita stand

DSC_8029.jpg

Pomegranate Margarita. Delicioso!

DSC_8033.jpg

But doing this right after that margarita? Not a great idea.

DSC_8049.jpg

DSC_8052.jpg

Goodbye, Epcot!

That morning we got up, packed the truck, and said goodbye to Coronado Springs. It was our last day at Disney. Of course, we had to go to Magic Kingdom. I drove over to the parking lot. I hate parking ad dealing with transportation over at the Ticket and Transportation Center. On a bad day, you could be in line for forever as you are leaving, but this was really our only choice that day.

We took the boat over.

DSC_8055_zps0d96c7a7.jpg

DSC_8068_zpsa78b8d0d.jpg

I love this sight coming across

DSC_8073_zpsda445400.jpg

How on earth will I remember without Disney reminding me how?

DSC_8109_zps76d7aa66.jpg

DSC_8131_zps565199fa.jpg

Seeming more crowded by now

DSC_8140_zps34c90c5f.jpg

"How do you do?"--No, we did not ride. No need to walk around wet all day long.

DSC_8144_zps48a966c5.jpg

"This here's the wildest ride in the Wilderness!"

DSC_8151_zps4dcdcba4.jpg

DSC_8160_zpse23729d3.jpg

Breakfast time. . .we had snagged one of the last Breakfast reservations.

DSC_8182_zpsd080356a.jpg

Piglet came to see me. . .

DSC_8185_zpsce3946d5.jpg

And climbed into the booth with Sweetie

DSC_8186_zpsd5ead53e.jpg

Tigger got a little close for comfort.

We left there and went over for the best character interaction ever. . .Tiana. When we started talking, she said, "Oh, y'all are from the South. I bet you know all about how to make collard greens!" Either she was a great actress or she really did seem interested. Either way, this was the best and I hope she is there next week for Nicole and I to meet!

165963_4335719032550_1532042144_n.jpg

After that, we left for the second park of the day. And I'll give you a hint. . .it's one of our favorites and we actually hit three parks that day!
