Ugh! It is still soooo cold here! I had to bag tonight's run. I'm hoping it really does get up to the mid twenties over the weekend, because these single digits + below zero wind chills is just too much for me. I'm due for 11 mi this weekend.

Pretty much my plan for tomorrow. It's all clean, just have to repack minus my costumes. Dint gave those ironed out. But I'm planning to go the same. Why reinvent the wheel?

I'm slowly getting used to the idea of leaving again. I packed a lot into the Tink 6 days and was feeling mentally and physically low. But sliding getting back to game mode!

Believe it or not! I am all packed! Just washed my stuff from the Tink trip and put it back in the suitcase. I replenished my nutrition products and got a new tube of toothpaste and I am set. :cool1:

You two are better then I am. The only reason I could be considered partly packed for the Princess is because I still haven't unpacked from Tink! Been too sick to unpack. Just finally starting to get better. Doing much better today than I was the last three but still not quiet over it.

I wound suggest NOT checking your running clothes and shoes. Day time clothes can be replaced but if you don't have what you are comfortable running in, 13 miles could be a long way. Bags do get "lost", sent to other airports, etc. It just happened over Christmas. One of our bags look an extra 24 hours to arrive. Luckily it was skis and on Southwest and they pay for the cost of rental equipment...great time to demo new stuff! But you do NOT want to demo new shoes etc on race day.

I probably shouldn't but I am taking the risk with sending it with my checked luggage. I just have to many running things to pack in a small suitcase. Add in the fact that I really need my backpack to carry my daystuff and don't want to risk my camera getting damaged in the cargo I don't have much of a choice. On the bright side I am on the first flight from Denver on Thursday so if it somehow misses the flight (wouldn't be the first time) it has two more flights from Denver to come in on.

If I do manage to land myself the custom molds before Princess those will be making the trip in my carry on. Those things are more important than the shoes themselves to me, and the brace. I know it sounds silly but I can experiment with a new shoe all day long as long as I have the proper support within the shoe.

Meanwhile muttering every prayer I know that I can somehow slim down enough to fit in the Merida dress my Mom bought me for the race. Its not a real Merida dress (its just a dark blue halter top style dress with rhine stones on top) but its close enough. My weight has been all over the place the last year and it has come down a bit since New Year (last time I tried putting it on) so I am hoping it will fit before the race. If I have to I can go as Tink again but I would prefer not to. :worried:

At least weight issues should hopefully be mostly a distant memories by the time the DDD rolls around at summers end since I am hopefully going to get a surgery done. If it absolutely comes to it I will be rocking that dress by then hopefully.

Don't say that!! You can't be all burned out for me! It took you years to convince me to do this lol.

I'll bounce back! No worries! It's going to be great.

With 30 days left, it seems like everyone has their own worries and plans to iron out - i know I do!! (still don't have a costume and haven't figured out my day-of plan).

But since today is a milestone of sorts, I wanted to reflect on the process that got us all this far. This is such an amazing group on Princesses and we've all already accomplished so much. I'm proud of myself and also of everyone who had embarked on this journey. We're amazing!

Wishing everyone the best during the next month. Can't wait to see where our training will take us!

With less than a month to go til my first half marathon, I'm excited to say the least!! Especially since its a rundisney event. My only regret at this time is that I did not find this forum sooner.

Hope everyone's training is going well!

Hey guys want your opinion. Trying to decide where to eat for dinner on Thursday (this is a last minute change to travel plans). Out of the restaurants available I am looking at:

50's Prime Time Cafe (5:25 or 6:40)
Coral Reef (Current Reservation there thinking of changing)
Mama Melrose (7:05 after park closing to hit as many rides as possible (MGM (yes I still call it that) is my second favorite park right after MK), not doing Fantasmic)
Sci-Fi Dine In Theater (7:05 same reason as Mama Melrose)

I'm hitting MK on Friday and Saturday so I was thinking the afternoon/evening at one of the other parks would be nice. What do you guys think?

Edited to remove the AK options. My main problem right now is I can't decide whether or not I actually want to wait a full year before riding the new Test Track. I wasn't that big on the old one to begin with but I am curious about it.

I have a quick question for everyone thats run princess before, is it impossible to get around the morning before the race if you don't stay at the park? I just finished with Tink and we didn't stay in the park but just walked to the start. I think the only place you can do that from in the park is port orleans. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to stay in the park or not (as a side note when we go we almost always stay in the park, but this year doing two races has strained the budget a little!)

Can you walk from POR/FQ???? I'm staying at POR but was planning on taking the bus.

Not sure about walking from POR. But a heads up if you go to the bus route, get there early, and I mean early! I got there maybe 3:45 last year and it took me nearly a half hour to get on the bus from the front of the resort. It got so long at one point it was all the way back to the bridge.

Lol, so I'm not the only one? Good! :)

Yes you can walk, but you need to know the correct route. It was posted a while bak on the 2013 WDW marathon thread.
It takes you right to the corrals and you will not have an oppertunity to check a bag

The stomach flu has hit my house, DD 5 has it. THe poor thing.

I just pray that it ends quick and no one else in the house gets it.

I have no love for the flu. I am to do 11 miles tomorrow. I may have to rethink that plan.

:rotfl2: MCO seems huge to us! Obviously not as huge as someplace like ATL, but our airport at home is tiny. We have only have 12 gates. But yes, it's easy to find your way around MCO.
Sorry, I didn't want to mislead anyone. Of course there are smaller airports, so I guess MCO would be medium sized? Not having to clear customs at MCO ( we do that at our home airport) and to go through baggage claim might help a bit.

Ok ladies, I think I might have become officially insane.
Last night I think I over hydrated before my run... It made for a very painfull run on a full bladder.
Consequently, I had a dream. I was running the course prior to the half, with the course map in hand and writing down all the spots where there where porta potties....
Considering that I only wanted to stop at the real restrooms in MK, I was slightly grossed out when I woke up.
Just imagine that... Having to stop at EVERY row of porta potties for the whole half!:scared:

I'm I the only one with such nightmares?

Sadly, I lived that my first princess! I was pregnant and over hydrated for sure. Lol. It sucked.

Seems like the flu is hitting everyone. My Mom came down with it last night and is now sicker than I am.

Of course I got the mother of all double whammies it feels like. I finally got over the flu yesterday and the first thing I notice is an all too familiar set of cramps. I was praying it was just some left overs of the flu, no luck.

This isn't the first time my body has done this either. Sometimes I think my body hates me.

Oh, no, it's fine. It's just perspective. The first time I landed at MCO, I were amazed at how huge it is. I've since flown thrown ATL, so MCO doesn't seem so big anymore.

No you are not !!!
I had a bad one last night too. I forgot to pack everything for the race; shoes, outfit, everything. :rotfl:
