Hoping for a NYC/Bermuda itinerary in 2014!
From your lips to their ears!!
Hoping for a NYC/Bermuda itinerary in 2014!
Meaning?
Cabo was beautiful, clean and safe. I wish Disney would do a Catalina, SD, Cabio cruise. There'd be probably 2-3 sea days in there too. That would be a fun trip.
Just checked our May 2014 on FANTASY that we put on hold. Its same price as booking! Maybe there is hope for us.
I wonder why DCL doesn't just move a ship over to Hawaii and have an island hopper combined with Alauni? (Sp?)
I agree with the Hawaii/Aulani combo!
we did the Pixar West Coast cruise. We lucked out with a 1-1/2 days of sun in San Francisco ... and an afternoon of fog. That way we knew we were really in SF not a Disney rideI would sail for that! But I'd like Puerto Vallarta better than SD. I wasn't interested in the California coastal cruises that visited SF. I want to go warm places, a little further from where I live in Northern California.

In 2010, they did a fab Dover-Barcelona repo and it was sooo cheap for Europeans (we got a discount code). We're all just hoping that happens again really.

So the Dream has a standing schedule of 3 and 4 nights. 4 nights depart on Sunday, and 3 nights depart on Thursdays.
Looking ahead at 2014, specifically xmas/new years, Dec 25th and Jan 1st land on a Thursday. In years past, these two dates would coincide with a sea day AFAIK. Therefore, will we see 5n cruises for these? I can't imagine docking on these dates...
DCL has changed the schedule for Thanksgiving week for the same reason in the past. It's possible the 3 and 4-night cruises for Christmas and New Year's will be reversed in 2014.
Good point... We initially were looking at doing the Fantasy during xmas or NYE but budget might prevent us - instead we are now looking at the Dream during xmas 2014.
Where did you hear/see this?
The port scehdule for Maderia and Villefranche are posted on this thread if you look back a few pages. But here it is again.

Why not do both? We've only cruised once and it was a semi-spur of the moment booking (booked just a couple of months out). At the time, there was a special offer of a $25 onboard credit. We are thinking of another 3 night Bahama cruise on the Dream in May, 2014. Is there any extra benefit of booking now or should I wait and see if any special offers come out for our travel dates?
Why not do both?
If I really want to cruise, I book as soon as we decide to cruise. I like choosing my own cabin and knowing we'll have main dining time. Some feel it's better to book later, after the final payment due date, once they release specials. I don't want my vacation to depend on finding a special; I want to be able to book flights etc and know it's a done deal. If later they offer such a great special that it is worth cancelling & rebooking, like KSF, I'd go for it.
The last night of our May, 2012 cruise ended on a semi-bad note so I've not been able to talk my husband into saying yes yet. If a special offer comes out, will I have to cancel and rebook? Or will they be able to apply the special offer to an existing reservation like at WDW? If I were to book and have to cancel, won't I incur a cancellation fee?
