Funny -- everyone keeps talking about the hard beds...... I was expecting that but did not find them hard at all:confused3

Ahhhh, SO excited to be headed HOME in 13 days! I have been subbed to this thread forever and love that it's nearly our turn to head back! This will be our 3rd stay at PoP, just my daughter and I this trip, we are SO excited!!! :cool1:

Have a great trip. :goodvibes We love pop and can't wait to get back. We are on the QSDP but we are going to do around 4 ADR's so getting those in place now. Basically trying to get everyone on board with what meals we want to do.

I saw the menu for the Mom's Night Out posted here as
Turkey, Meatloaf and Fried Chicken...
I Just saw a Menu posted yesterday on All Ears (sorry Dis) that said
Turkey, Fried Chicken and "Mojo Pork"
If someone just got back, or is still there,,, could you clarify that for me...and if it is MOJO pork.....did you try it?
Thanks in advance for your time...:thumbsup2

I arrive at Pop tomorrow, for those there now. Have people run into less than pleasurable experiences on the buses to/from the parks? I was just wondering if the lines are longer with the international groups rumoured to be there.

I was just at POP for 11 nights. I only encountered a tour group on the bus one time on the way to DTD. It wasn't 'awful' though. They weren't weren't rude. The bus was just super crowded on that run.
As far as at the hotel, I stayed in bldg 3 in the 50's. I heard they were out in the 80's and/or 90's. I did eat in the food court but did not at breakfast time and did not have any encounters with them there either. Good Luck with your stay! I LOVED my location!!!!

I cancelled our May weekend at Pop. I needed a freezer to keep ice packs frozen for ds.

You cancelled because you need a freezer?
Does the fridge in the rooms not have freezer?

That is correct, no freezer.
I did not go last year so and they did not have them June '11. There had to be a place in Orlando you can rent a mini freezer.

Yes, for SWW I need to have plenty of ice packs for my son.

There is a lovely mini-fridge though.

I live in central FL; we will either drive from home or stay at an offsite villa that has a full refrigerator.

Don't worry I have had plenty of Pop Century this fall, we stayed weekends in Sept, Oct, and Nov. Loved it!

Thanks for the link, I will check it out. Keeping my options opened.

Don't feel bad. Just cancelling the accomodations, not cancelling our Disney time! We are use to "doing Disney differently".

If I lived close I would bring u a freezer.

One trip I stayed at Pop my DD was on a medicine that needed to stay cold. I didn't have to carry it to the parks but for the trip home I asked bell services (who have a full size fridge) if they could put the ice pack in their freezer and they did no problem.

If it is a medical need I wonder if they don't have a fridge with freezer that they could put in your room.

Well you could ask, it will not hurt.

Decided not to bother requesting the king bed. I would be a little disappointed if I got an accessible room with no tub. I like baths. Husband's comment was that he didn't care. He would sleep in a storage room as long as it had a roof and was at Disney! We can sleep in our own beds like June and Ward Cleaver....

Down to 7 days and some hours... We go inspect the kennel tomorrow to see if it will suit the dawg. I suspect it will. He is an enthusiastic sort of dawg; he likes everything except cats and thunder, which terrify him.

That's a sweet thought. I did cancel Pop. The price of that villa you gave the link of is about the same price as Pop.

It's my son I have to keep cool, not a medicine. Last year we did some very creative cooling at SWW, but we had a ton of frozen water. This year he will be sporting hand held airconditioners too.

Well you could ask, it will not hurt.

That was suggested to me on my PTR too. It's ok, really. We'll stay at Pop another time.

As I mentioned, we had two portable airconditioners and we'll have a cooler bag filled with frozen waters. Who knows, maybe this year things will change and there will be more SWW in the airconditioning?

Lots more tour groups than the last few years. Haven't seen any on busses. Pop bus service has been really decent. Had a cm say the Brazilian groups are stealing and expect to not have to pay for things others pay for. We haven't encounter any more rudeness from them than anyone else though. Pleasently surprised to see Main Street Electrical Parade is running. Haven't had to wear a coat, nice surprise. Under the sea ride well made, glad they stopped making what I like to refer to as plywood rides. If this is your first stop, take the train to Frontier Land. We thought is was faster than getting off at Barn stormer train stop.
