DLR Half-Marathon 2013. Who else is going?!?!

Has anyone done the pasta in the park? Wondering what it is like? Seems like a steep price? Anyone done it before? What are the food options like? Also, what parade is it? It says parade seating but it doesn't start until late. I don't remember a late parade at Disneyland (At WDW, yes but not at DL). Just curious to see if it is worth the spurge for all 6 of us or better to forgo it. Thanks!

I have not done it, and opted to skip due to the price. But, if somebody has done it, and there is something really amazing, let me know & I will do it.

I'm not doing it either. There are a billion other places at DLR that serve pasta. I *did* find it interesting that they are serving alcohol at Disneyland though. I didn't think I'd ever see that aside from a private party.

We had decided not to do the races because of the cost. Got an email that registration had opened and talked to my hubby about how much I was regretting that decision. So we hopped on to the website (with a lot of waiting) and somehow got registered for the double dare before it sold out! Feeling kind of lucky we got in!

REALLY bummed that the DDD was already sold out. I live in Hawaii and work the overnight shift so I wasn't able to be online right when registration opened. Who knew it would be full in just a few hours

But, I am still really excited for the half. This will be my second RunDisney event!

In for the Dumbo, signed up last weekend through the Disney Visa link. DW signed up for the Dumbo at the expo on Saturday. So glad we both got in!

We usually just grab a cab. $45 to Disneyland.

We're in! After a hair-raising 30 minutes when runDisney's site crashed today, I got in to the 10K at the 75% full mark.

DH had signed up in advance at WDW last week when he ran the Marathon.

Hoping for a DVC reservation at GCV. Fingers crossed that a waitlist will come through!

We took the Disneyland Grayline Shuttle for the first time for the Tinkerbell half (we usually rent a car but had no plans to leave the DL resort this time). It's $17 one way or $27 roundtrip per person. We were on the first bus of the morning so only two other couples were on the bus with us. The first stop was at a Good Neighbor Hotel, then DLH and PP. We didn't take the bus back to the airport so I can't comment on that but I've heard it's hit or miss.

I'm in for the Half! I used to be an avid runner, training for a marathon, and suffered an injury that took me out of the game for six months. I'm looking forward to getting back into the groove, and this sounds like the perfect way to get motivated.

The Grayline bus (Disneyland Resort Express) only operates out of LAX and SNA (Orange County/John Wayne). Out of Long Beach the options are cab, car rental, or a shared van shuttle such as Super Shuttle, I believe. I registered for Dumbo at the Tink expo but now I'm a little worried. I got my emailed receipt but when I logged on to the active site to view my registration details it tells me I am "not authorized to view this registration". I really hope I'm not hooped here....

I have!! And I am again! It is my favorite hotel on property. It even beats the Grand for me! I just love it. I think you will too!

The same thing happened to me and I was totally worried. I tried the link in the email, it finally worked after a few attempts and I was able to view my registration details.

I have reservations at BW Stovall's but my mom wants to stay on property so we may be switching to PPH of DLH. I've only stayed at Paradise Pier once.
