Come to the Dark Side...We Have Cookies...(updates 4/3)

Sorry JJ has been experiencing seizures again. I hope they get better quickly!

Jackie

Thanks. His body seems to be very sensitive to his drug blood levels.

sorry to hear Anakin had a tough night and issues with the noises...hope he felt better today

The noises are still bothering him. Last night we went to see Legally Blond to see his voice coach perform. He had his hand over his ears a few times. We all enjoyed the play, and I'm thankful there were parts that just flew over his head or we'd have lots of explaining to do, lol.

We didn't realize it, but his acting teacher from last semester was in the musical too. It was fun seeing both of them on stage.

As we were seated, some people came up to him because they recognized him from being Max in the Grinch. He was thrilled they remembered him.

After the show his voice teacher left out a big squeal and hugged him. She introduced him to the other girls in the show. He was one lucky boy.

I hope last night was better than the night before. Praying for JJ to get through these tough adjustments to meds.

Thanks for the prayer. Yes, last night was a good night!

happy to hear Anakin was better...what a fun night for him! sure he loved the attention!

Tell JJ we love him and I hope the meds adjustments happened quickly, with no residual deficits. Praying for Mama too! :grouphug:

I will tell him and thank you, appreciate the prayer.

He had a wonderful day today. Started the morning with watching a new episode of Clone Wars.

Inspired by all of Michele's croc pot cooking, I made a beef roast with carrots and potatoes for lunch. It simmered all night. In the afternoon we went to the Magic Kingdom and met friends to go see the Storybook Circus Giggle Gang show. It was nice to see our friends and the show was cute. The park was very busy. We didn't go on a single attraction, but we did stop for some snacks at Big Top Souvenirs and Gaston's Tavern before heading back to the TTC.

It was a nice relaxing afternoon, but way too high calorie. I drank too many points. I don't even think the power walking to and from the car at (Scar 126) and the monorail even came close to burning off enough. I should have wore a pedometer to see if all the walking made a dent or not.

It sounds like JJ had quite the night last night. Little ladies man!

I do love my slow cooker for sure. I am making potato soup for dinner. I think that it may be my favorite and easiest meal to make. I am thinking that tomorrow I am making Pizza chicken.

What fun snacks did you have?

Yum, potato soup. How do you make pizza chicken?

We split a cinnamon bun and a LeFou Brew. JJ had a reeses pieces pretzel stick.

I am glad he was better and you all had fun. I LOVE my crockpot, it is a must on busy days. I hope tonight is another good one!

Here is the recipe I use, I change it because I only use one pepper and I cut the pieces pretty small rather than strips. It tastes really god and it really easy to make.

Your snacks sound so good.

Thanks for the recipe and the tip. It sounds good.

I don't use mine enough. New Years Eve was the last time before this.

Last night was another rough night for us. He slept through it all. I know I'm tired and I'm sure dh is. It was nice to get that full night's sleep the night before. We gave him the emergency med. It helped. We're letting him sleep in. I know he wants to go to church so we're waiting til the last minute to wake him up. Going to the 11am service instead of both Sunday school and church for him. There's usually more helpers at the 11am kid's service anyway.

We are noticing the medication working a little better for the OCD. If I could remove all clocks from our house he'd be doing even better. And from the car and our cell phones, and the tvs, and the microwave and stove, oh and the computer. On the other hand, he's getting good at math by all his subtracting of how much time is left for this or that. The sun setting a little later is helping too. He is so worried he won't fall asleep. We haven't told him he's been having seizures again. We don't want to make the time thing at night any worse.

You're welcome. With the slow cooker liners from Reynolds Wrap make using it that much easier.

I hope that you and DH are able to get a little rest this morning. Poor JJ, hopefully this is the last rough night. I am glad to hear that his OCD is better. That is too bad about the clocks. So many more things have clocks on them now. When we were younger there weren't as many clocks on things and it was easier to help with that.

Have a restful day. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I'm sorry to hear that JJ hasn't been doing well. I had hoped that the medication change would help him. But, it does take time for the levels to work themselves out so I'll pray that it happens sooner rather than later.

I didn't even know they made liners for a croc pot.

Dh and I were up early today. Jj slept in and woke up on his own with plenty of time to eat breakfast and get to church without any rushing.

He finds clocks on things that I didn't even know kept time. He is a very punctual child.

I appreciate the thoughts and prayers, I know they help.

Yes, the two are drug interactions. We have them spaced apart, but the increase in the one will give a slight decrease to the other. Hopefully this combo will work. I hate the idea of adding a third medication for the seizure control. The other side effect of the one that was upped is weight loss, so that could be a good one and should end up bringing those other levels back up too. But it's a wait and see.

the new pirate adventure looks fun! so happy we have you to report back to us about the new stuff going on!

Let's have some Disney fun while we wait for news of SWW.

One of Disney's new events of 2013 is their Limited Time Magic. So far there have been 3 different weeks of these events. The first was a New Year's Eve party that lasted a week. The 2nd was a Winter Wonderland in Canada featuring Donald, Daisy, Chip and Dale. This week is Long Lost Friends from Jan 21-27 featuring Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, the Three Little Pigs and more. We are hoping to get there this week as we did last week.

In Winter Wonderland in Canada, it was snowing, but the characters were full of warmth. The queue quickly became popular.

The characters arrived out of the old "Millenium Village".

The queue moved fairly quickly. We were pretty far back and reached the front in about 10 minutes. We began our wait with overcast skies, but that quickly changed to warm sunny skies.

He loved the M&G! The characters were quick to make their greetings and pose for a picture, yet at the same time it did not feel overly rushed. The snow was very light, we were expecting more. It was a fun time.

The waiting in line an the toastiness of the sun started to wear on Anakin. He wanted to go home. But we just got there. Goofy suggested Beaches & Cream for ice cream. We were all game.

Not sure what was going on, but there sure were alot of people waiting to get into Epcot as we were leaving.

Goofy got a No Way Jose as his meal. I got the new 6-blend cheese grilled cheese and tomato bisque like I did last week. And JJ got a grilled cheese, fries, and chocolate ice cream scoop just like last week too.

and the pics from last week since we ordered the same thing
