On our last trip we ate at cape may . We met up with family from FL. My husband and my cousin were in their glory. They loved the seafood! We have to say it was one of our favorite dinners. I'm allergic to shellfish so I figured my meal would be pasta and salad. I was so happy with my meal I had so much to choose from it was a nice surprise

OK, the pic of the homemade potato chips.....................that's just plain mean!!!

Sitting here at my desk, minding my own business, scrolling through my favorite Dis thread and...........................BAM..................in my face.

Haven't had a potato chip in over a month now

Today was our 180 day mark and I got an email this morning at 7:30 AM with all of our ADR's all set for us. I told them at the IPO office that I would prefer to go later with our dinner reservations if they didn't have the time we wanted and every request was exactly as I would have done it myself, but so much easier for me. I also requested a beach shack at TL and got it with out a problem.

The people at the BC IPO office have been amazing!!!!

Thank you so much for pointing me to the direction of your trip report!!

Now I am debating on CL at Universal. I originally had it booked but was not sure what it would be like. With the offerings it seems worth it. Now I am confused! :confused3:rotfl:

1. Does staying on property really make a difference with the lines at US/IOA?
We plan on staying on property to experience it but we have a DD with a medical condition that requires her to be kept out of the heat as much as possible. At WDW we spend the day at SAB and then parks when it cools off. There is nothing we can do about...just the way it has to be. I am hoping that the express pass helps with US and staying onsite. :confused3 We will plan on going early to HP area as I know EP won't work there. She can last a few hours in the early AM but then it will be back to the hotel pool or shows or something indoor and cool.

2. Is the early admission to HP each morning?

I know I had more questions but I should have wrote them down! They will come to me.

Thanks again!!!!

I'm so glad you liked the report! Feel free to post any questions on the report, or here.

It is totally worth staying onsite! The Front of the Line pass rocks! And it sounds like especially in your circumstances, with a summer trip, skipping the lines will be crucial. Waits were up to 90 minutes on a lot of popular stuff for those not staying on sitdewhen we went in July.

I believe the early opening at WWoHP is every day. Again, worth it!

The express pass doesn't work for Forbidden Journey or for the wand show at Ollivanders. You can do single rider line at Forbidden Journey, if that works for your family, though. You can use the express pass on the Dragon Challenge coaster and the Flight of the Hippogriff coaster in WWoHP, though.

I don't think the guest assistance cards/services are nearly as helpful at US as they are at Disney

I'm not as sure I would recommend CL. We only were able to do the breakfast a couple of times because the lounge opened at the same time as WWoHP. We only made it to one of the evening dinner selections.

Elevator to nowhere??? What?:confused3 :rotfl2:

For the Be Our Guest list...we're going August 23 - 30 YC SV

Now that it is booked the time...213days....:hourglass is just gonna drag.

Near the Beach Club Marketplace, there is a bank of 4 elevators. Only 3 are operational. One is a "front" for a call center that used to be tucked away there.

I can't remember which one it is. Teena knows. I guess if you spend anytime using the elevators, you may notice that one never works.

Officially booked for Sept 27-30th at the Beach Club. Stayed at the YC in 2006, but not in the BC for over 10 years probably. Very excited to come back!

Dee - First I wanted to say that the reason you are the "Keeper of the Thread" is because no one could do the job that you do - it is fantastic!!!!

Second - we have changed once again!!!! Frontier Airlines just started flying out of our local airport and are offering really good introductory fares. Unfortunately (or fortunately in our case) they only fly certain days of the week.

We are now booked June 29-July 5 Poly GV (changed to save a little money since we added two extra days and airfare) and July 5-16 BC GV.

Here's the funny part - the airlines has only opened up to bookings up to
July 10. So we are booked on the way down ($79 per person) but have to pray that the next airfares that open up are just as good! Wish me luck.

Sorry to make you change the Be Our Guest List once again.

Can't wait to see the Hurricane Hannah's menu - sounds like some great additions!

Hey everyone! We are headed back to Disney again this October. I can't wait! This trip will be DH, myself, DD 3, our new little edition who will be about 3 months, and my mom. We are staying at BCV September 30th to October 8th. While we are there we are celebrating our anniversary, our daughter's 4th birthday, and our little ones first trip.

We love the food and wine festival plus MNSSHP. And this year DH is doing to ToT 10 Miler.

Another addition to the Be Our Guest list...we are returning to the BCV May 29 - June 5. This will be the first time we will be bringing our then 8 month old DD "home". We can't wait to introduce her to Teena. We can only hope her first trip to the world is as amazing as Princess Lily's!

:welcome: back

I bet Teena would love to meet your new daughter!

I'll add you to the list.

Greetings to those in this thread. I have been majorly lurking in here for some time and want to thank you all for the wonderful information that has been posted. Yay for DIS.

I'd like to add myself to the Be Our Guest list. We will be at the Beach Club on Club level from February 18th through the 23rd. We will be in a deluxe room and we can't wait.

:welcome:

Glad you delurked. Let us know if you have any questions.

I'll add you to the list.

If you get a chance, please take lots of pictures of your room and view so we can add it to the BC Deluxe Room thread (and live vicariously through you)

:woohoo:

Sounds like an exciting family trip! It is so nice to hear about all of the little ones making their first trips.

Someone a few pages ago asked about using a snack credit for a milkshake at Beaches and Cream. The answer is YES! Each night we were at SAB the kids (and me too!) would get a shake from the takeout window and enjoy them poolside. In fact, when we told the kids that we would be staying at BC is year, my daughter asked if we could get shakes again...so it definitely made an impression on her!

Well, hello twin! I've been away from the thread for the past few days because . . . . we also added two days to our trip! And I'm so happy about your Poly/BC split! In my opinion, it's the absolute perfect split. As you know, we're not doing that split next week is because my husband loves BWI CL and we've stayed at BC so many times recently. But if I were making all the decisions unilaterally, it would be Poly/BC and in that exact order! :)

As for the two extra days, my husband decided he wanted to stay an additional weekend in exchange for a day at . . . Universal - eek!!! Dee, you know I've always planned to do this someday for Harry Potter, but when it came down to it, I just couldn't stay at Universal. So we're doing Poly/BWI/AKV and going to Universal for just the day when we transfer from BWI to AKV. I'm reading (some VERY last-minute reading for me) that it's a good idea to wait until we get there before deciding whether we need the express pass. On a Friday in early February, it might not be so crowded. Also, our 6-year-old is lobbying heavily for a 2-park pass so that he can go on the Despicable Me ride. Not sure that one ride is worth the additional cost.

Passed by Hurricane Hannas on the way back to our room from Hollywood Studios. Tthey are currently doing a practice run for cast members only. Official opening is Tuesday. One new item that caught my eye is lobster and shrimp roll! Will try to get a pic of the new menu later.

Yay!!! So excited about this - thanks for the report!

A question for the parents on this thread -- my husband will be joining us a few days into our trip, so I'll be solo with my daughter while she enjoys SAB for the first time. Is there's particular place that you'd recommend a parent sit/stand to keep an eye on her while she likely rides the Jib slide over and over and over again?

Now, our older boys can help to monitor our 6-year-old on the slide while I wait by the slide exit. But when our older boys were younger, I would walk with them across the walkway and they would go up the stairs on their own. Then I'd walk back across and wait for them at the slide exit.

Here's my description of the area from the SAB photo thread I put together a while ago:

We've also seen several questions about getting from the pool area to the larger Jib Slide that starts at the top of the pirate ship and goes into the pool. Guests must exit the main area of SAB and cross the pathway to get to the slide entrance.

The added bonus of the YC SV, is that you may also have a nice view of Wishes.

I know we could see Wishes from BWI!

So far it's pretty pleasant. We landed last night around 10:30. Today was sunny, partly cloudy but nice and warm. That's in Lauderdale. Hopefully the weather will be as nice in Orlando. Driving up Wednesday. Wishing you a safe trip down. :goodvibes

Thank you! :)

And the crowds continued.....
Oh, FYI: BoG, not only is it one of the cheapest sit downs that we have eaten at WDW in a while, it also was one of the best meals period. DW has the shrimp & scallop pastry, DS & DD has the Cornish hen, and I had the pork chop. Absolutely delicious!

Great to hear! We have an ADR next Tuesday and I was thinking about the pork. Thanks for the reports and enjoy the rest of your trip! :)

Just a little BC tease. When you arrive walk around and check out the back of each elevator.

At YC it's the elevator on the left on the back wall. Behind it is a group of pay phones. It was made to look like an elevator so both sides would look alike! :)

Thanks! Is it dangerous to assume you are Nate and Ben's mom? I'm MADdie, EMma, and LUCy's mom...

Yup, that's the origin of the name. And unfortunately, I have some user's remorse over the name. "Natebenma" doesn't exactly roll off the tounge.

I do have an alter-ego "BeachClubDee" but I don't use that very often.

Thanks for sharing the origin of your name. I have to admit that when I read your name, I thought it was a clever take on "Made 'em look!". Like the old joke when you say "There's a giant spider behind your backs"

I am so excited to hear about your trip to the dark side!!!

You are correct about the express pass. Wait until you arrive to see if you need it. I can't remember if you only need to purchase it for those who will use it. Like if your youngest isn't able to go on the bigger coasters or Forbidden Journey, then you probably don't need the pass for him and one adult.

Don't forget, FJ has a single rider line!!! You NEED to go through the regular line, or the castle tour, at least once, but if you want to go on the ride again without waiting in line, then consider using the SRL. One parent waits at the exit with the youngest, the two boys go, then the other parent goes last. I call that "sandwiching" the kids.

I'll PM you to discuss some other US/IoA stuff so I don't have to ban myself for going :offtopic: on this thread.

Cuz y'all know how I don't tolerate that!!!

Hi there everyone! Thank you for the fabulous thread! We just booked Beach Club for August yesterday. It looks like I have a lot of reading to do!:)

We booked a standard room. Does anyone know what views are available with those? I am assuming parking lot but maybe there are other areas to request? I am not too worried about it, we're just happy to be staying there for the first time and got a fabulous rate!
We have stayed at BWV and know that we absolutely love being able to walk to Epcot and DHS.

Once it gets closer I will request a balcony but I know it's a 50/50 shot.
Hope to get to know you all better as I plan:)

Am I imagining things or did I read somewhere today that you can get a milkshake from Beaches with a snack credit?!
