Hi - Next month will be our third time to Disney as a family and we haven't done Fantasmic yet. Kids will be ages 7, 4 and 2. The latest dinner reservations we can get are 3:45 p.m. I'm not sure how this works - what does this guarantee for us - or are we just better off doing a general dinner reservation for like 5:00 p.m. in HS? I'm lost on this Fantasmic thing and how it works. We'd want the early show since it will be our first day there and everyone will have been awake since early a.m. Thanks.

Let me prefix this with the fact that the last time we did the Fantasmic! dinner package, was 4 years ago so things may have changed a little. We had dinner at H&V at 4.15pm. We were given a voucher for seats to the first show (7pm I believe) and there is a roped off section just for Dinner Package guests.

The time of your dinner doesn't matter, what matters is that you book the package (not just make a normal ADR). You'll get the voucher at the end of your meal. :thumbsup2

Can you book/request the earlier of the two shows?? I don't want to do it at all if we can't get the 7pm show. Also, I assume you eat at 3:45 and then can walk around the park more, etc. until the show starts?? Is the show really worth it?

because you have little ones...this pkg is definitely worth it...you dont have to stand in a long line and then go in and sit for an even longer time waiting for it to start....
We have done this with the younger grandkids several times...there is a time for the dinner pkgs for Fantasmic too...that is why when you make the reservation you state that..We made ours for May and then had to call back and tell them Fantasmic pkg...so our reservation went to a different time...they are earlier then normal dining times..we are going at quarter of five...it is okey with us..
I would also sit closer to the back as the noise level and scary features on the mtn and water spray may scare your little ones...
BUT hope you have a good time

Would I get a guarantee of the early show???? I'm worried that we'd get put into the later show? I don't want to go to eat at 3:45 for no reason just to get a tix to the later show.

You will not get the later show -- Fantasmic dining offers seating for the first show only. Keep in mind that you'll need tickets to get into the park that day. The package gets you a meal that includes appetizer, entree, dessert and drink along with tickets to the 7PM show. There is a ton of info on the show/package here, http://www.easywdw.com/category/worth-2/fantasmic-worth-2/, including a map of the seating for the package. The show itself is highly recommended.

Thx, I called Disney yesterday for info and they said we can order anything off the menu...is that because we are not on the dining plan??? We have 3:30 reservations at Mama Melrose.

Just did the M/M Fantasmic Dinner Package last month, early lunch ressie. The meal consisted of any appetizer, entee, or drink, for each person at the table and a dessert plate to share at the table. At the end of the meal, we were given our voucher for the early show. Had to arrive at a special gate about 30-45 minutes before the show, gate was located right past TOT, no standing in those long lines. There is a special seating area for this package, and there are no bad seats. Make sure everyone takes a bathroom break! Hope this helps!

Were the seats still to the far right or are they now in the center? I've seen people say both.

I really don't want to fight anyone for a seat. :rotfl:

So still far right, eh? Alright. I'll deal.

On New Year's Day, Fant! Seating was center seating in the Mickey or adjacent to the Mickey section.

Yes, you can order any app and entree from the entire MM menu. Dessert is a pre-selected sampler platter for the entire table. It doesn't matter if you're paying OOP or using dining credits.

In October our seating for Fantasmic was in the 4th section from the right.

what does it cost out of pocket for the package for an adult and for a child?

Seems like way too much food and it's my understanding EACH member of your party that you have a reservation for HAS to buy a meal and you cannot share...

anyone know?? I have no problem paying for my 2 kids if there is a kids menu, but I won't do 3 adult packages just to avoid waiting in a line....

You are correct that each person in your party 3 years old and up would have to pay so if you don't want to pay for all 3 adults you won't be able to do the F!Dining Package.

Here's a link to the package prices:

We did Fantasmic! pkg in 2010 (family of 5). This time we are going w/ another family, which makes us a party (ressies for) of 10. Will all 10 of us have to share a dessert? one per so many people? I had combined our party so we could be sure to sit together, didnt think about sharing food app/dessert between all of us.

I assume you're asking specifically about Mama Melrose.

Each person orders their own appetizer and entree.

The dessert platter is based on the number of guests at the table. They would not serve the same size platter to a table for 10 as they would to a table for 4. So there would be something for each of your 10.
