New dvc website and ie7 issues what's up nothing from disney!!!!

Site is back up. I was able to log in with Firefox & IE8. I didn't try Chrome or IE7 yet.

The IE7 issue is not Disney's problem. They need to create websites that incorporate CURRENT browser's. Upgrade or get some other computing equipment.

My work runs IE7 so upgrading the browser is not an option for me.

Don't worry, when one of the big bosses wants to access a site that is no longer IE7 compatible, I'm sure you'll get upgraded. Business usually works that way.

We're stuck on IE7 here at work, too. Unfortunately, I'm also in a really bad cellphone reception area. (Well, my phone tells me it has 4 bars at 4G, but I can never ever get internet connectivity.) I understand why my office hasn't upgraded, and I also understand why Disney didn't include IE7 support. That doesn't make it any less of a pain in the neck that I can't get into either the WDW or DVC sites any more during working hours.

I wouldn't mind dealing with funky text formatting and screens that don't quite look the way they were intended. (I've been finding work-arounds on other sites that aren't pretty, but at least get me what I need.) But that's not even an option with the Disney sites, as there isn't a log in button to get you past the first screen.

I can't use my iPad to look at my points. The other website was better. Also there's no easy way to book a reservation. First you have to choose Learn How to make a reservation then you can make the reservation. Why do they assume we don't know how to make a reservation?

A quick way into booking a vacation is under the 'My Vacations' drop down menu. The member website works best on the iPad if you hold it landscape.

Haha ain't that the truth!

I find that to be a step backwards too. At least provide a direct link to book like they had before and they can also have a section to learn how to make a reservation although with all the online booking for hotels etc. that has been going on for years booking for DVC is pretty self explanatory as you go thru it anyway. :confused3

I agree they need a direct link to Book a Reservation on the Home page, one should not have to go to How To Book first.

Email being sent to MS about this.

At least the music is gone.

I use IE9, and when I go to the website, I log in with username and password, but when I click "Sign In", it just sits there. I called yesterday and they said they would send a request for help to IT, and I should expect a call in 3-5 business days! Oh right! That's really helpful!

Anybody else having issues using the Contact email form on the website? I've tried on multiple computer, multiple browsers, over different days. Whenever I click Submit or Send, the web page does not go anywhere. No email follow up to let me know they got it, so I know it's not going through. Ugh.

Unable to login on my ipad with safari this morning, I was able to yesterday. Went to PC and finally got in using IE8. :badpc:
One day one browser works the next day it doesn't very frustrating.

I used it a few of days ago and did get the confirming email. I haven't heard back on my question though.

Although I use a Mac, I've had no problems signing in and using the new site. It did take me a little while to navigate the site, but I"m already getting used to it. Ah, change. How I often don't like you ... till you become what I'm used to, lol! :badpc: I use both firefox and safari - so far, so good with the new website. Haven't tried to use the site on my Iphone yet, though. Guess we'll see.:surfweb:

When I try to log in, it sends me directly to a link accounts page and wants my club ID and one time activation code. I have already done all of that in the past. Now I can't even remember which number is that one time code, if it would even work. I cannot get directly to a login page that asks for my user name and password.

There's an option on the Member Services phone number for help with the web site. They can give you a new one-time code to link your DVC account to your WDW account. Select option 1 for Member Services, then listen for the web site option. (I can't remember, it's like 4 or 6.)
