So yesterday my doctor put me in a wrist brace. I have been hurting more and more over several months, but lately I have had no strength at all in my wrist, so I got the brace. It really makes typing difficult.

They have programs for that! Fancy ones you can buy ... But my old computer had a basic one under 'accessibility' anywhere..

I could not a cup of tea if I tried... It got really bad, then it would get better, then it would get bad again.m so now I am in a brace. Hopefully it will get better soon and I will not worry about it.

So, back in 2008 David and I headed to Spain to start our Mediterranean cruise on the Celebty century. We spent four days in Barcelona with our friends, we stayed at the Hilton del mar, and had an making time, we were bumped to the executive lounge floor and was treated like royalty.

We walked the Las Ramblas, enjoyed the market, and had a great time. We visited the Church of the Sacred Family known as the Placa Sagrada Familia, it was truly inspiring, This masterpiece of modernist architecture, built by Antoni Gaudi, pushes the gothic style to the extreme, drawing hundreds of visitors a day.

We also saw the Mirador de Colon, At the end of La Rambla, by the Barcelona harbor, you will find the Mirador de Colon, with a statue of Christopher Columbus on top.

We spent an entire day at Parc Guell, At the entrance to the park, you will find the main staircase with a dragon fountain made of broken bits of glazed ceramic tile (trencadis). This leads to the Salon of the Hundred Columns, which was supposed to be a market place. The columns really number only 84 and are Doric in form. The ceiling of the Salon has tiled mosaics with designs on the ceiling. On top of the salon is a public square with a very large undulating bench in the form of a sea serpent that has backrests adorned with the broken bits of glazed tile. The bench was made by the architect Josep Maria Jujol. At the top of the park is the Closed Chapel, which has a large cross on top of it. This place has very good views of the city. The park was declared a Patrimony of Mankind by the UNESCO in 1984.

We also made our way to Casa Batillo, One of 2 houses by Gaudí in Barcelona that can be toured. truly amazing and worth the visit. go in the mornings, before the site gets crowded with architecture students. your admission price includes an audio guide that is informative, albeit a bit over the top "gaudi was surely one of the most inspirational artists of all time..." located at Passeig de Gràcia

We had an amazing time on the cruise, one I will never forget.

Now this time we are heading to a cruise out of Barcelona headed to Ft. lauderdale, a transatlantic. Something we have never done.

When we cruised to Hawaii, back 2007, it was 4 days at seas from San Diego to Hawaii, then a week around the islands, then 4 days at sea coming back... David and I feel in love with the days at seas, so we have been talking about a TransAtlantic for awhile and finally decided to do it.

We loved Spain, I always said that I lived someplace outside of the US it would be Spain. I felt so at home there, the people were amazing, and the food was incredible. it is so clean there also.
