Fireworks at Victoria & Alberts

My fiancé and are returning to WDW this November for our honeymoon after our last WDW trip to get engaged. I am hoping to surprise her with our first night dinner at Victoria & Alberts Chef's table. I have seen on some other discussion boards that there might be a private viewing area for the MK fireworks from Victoria & Alberts. Does anyone know if this is true or if I may have been mislead? We are having many firsts for our honeymoon (weeklong stay at the GF, Dinner at V&A, Epcot Food & Wine festival) so I want to make sure that our first night dinner is extra special! After more than 20 visits to WDW each in our separate lives, I have to reach big for our honeymoon to surprise her! Thank you for any tips that anyone can offer.

1) No viewing from V&A.
2) You should go down by the docks, in front of Gasparilla's.

IMHO, the dinner is such an experience that takes longer than the time you'll be able to catch the fireworks. When I went, seating was at 6pm. And we were there until at least 9:30 or 10pm. I don't think you'd be able to finish the dinner and wrap up the check in time to get to the dock to watch them.

How are you arriving? If you are flying I would worry about missing dinner. Delays are common and not in your control. We never book an ADR with a cancellation penalty on our arrival night. Plus travel day is very tiring.
Personally, I would reconsider this for your first night.

Thanks Hopefully, that is a really good point. Our plane is scheduled to arrive in Orlando at 11:00am, but it is definitely better not to take the chance with a reservation that is this difficult to get.

Friends of mine who honeymooned in Disney some time ago, just met my wife for the first time during our last visit - with their three sons......

Since you're staying at Grand Floridian and open to Signature restaurants - the fireworks view from Narcoossee's may be the best at Disney from any restaurant.....

The overall view from and the food at CA Grill may a bit better, but not the best angle for viewing the fireworks.

The service at V&A is simply the best at Disney.

Thanks Hopefully, that is a really good point. Our plane is scheduled to arrive in Orlando at 11:00am, but it is definitely better not to take the chance with a reservation that is this difficult to get.

We always have our nicest dinner the night we arrive. With an arrival at 11am, I would go ahead myself. And I have heard that you can take a break during the meal, walk around, see the fireworks. There's a V&A thread around here somewhere that will have the best information

CONGRATULATIONS!! We are Disneymooning this June and I am surprising my wife to be with a dinner at Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table. I wanted to get it for the first night we are there since it is my fiances birthday that day. I got online and made it my first reservations selected at 6AM EST on the 180 mark. However, even at that point the only night left open for the Chef's Table was the last night we are there. So, I booked it for that night (what a last dinner on our honeymoon ).

Don't rush an amazing dinner in order to see the fireworks. It's easy to see them another night from the boat dock at GF.
