Is Dinner At 1900 Park Fare Really That Bad?

I was panning to make an ADR for dinner at 1900 Park Fare on one of my MK days because I do not really enjoy the food in the MK and 1900 is just a monorail ride away. However, after reading reviews, it sounds like that would be a terrible choice. What is your opinion?

We had dinner there in Sept. and I was really not impressed. The food and choices were just ok. I booked it because my niece had gone to BBB and I wanted her to have dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming. That would be the only reason I would ever book dinner there again.

We really enjoy 1900 PF. We've always found the food to be fresh and delicious. Plus, they offer a better variety than some of the other buffets. They have unique offerings, a create your own pasta station where a chef cooks it there for you with the ingredients you choose, carved meats, and lots of fresh fruit/salads. The character interaction is the absolute best on property. We've always loved our experience here.

We think it has the best food out of all the character buffets (granted that's not saying much). It does have, by far, the best character interaction though (as long as the sisters are there)..

Well...the food is better than Chef Mickey's. :rotfl2:

My daughter and I went to dinner there in March and I just didn't enjoy it. The food was lukewarm, the waiter was terrible and the character interaction was just okay for me. Then again, I am not really a buffet person so maybe that skewed my view a little.

You go here for the character interaction, not for the food. That being said, the food isn't AWFUL but I haven't been there for a few years now. I'm going this week so I'll let you know how it is!

I can't wait to hear back from you! :cool1:

We ate at 1900 Park Fare last July and it was good. The characters were great! We are going to give it another try this June!!

I just had dinner at 1900 Park Fare on Friday with a group of nine adults and we all thought it was really good! We were all impressed with the quality of the food, and we had SO much fun with the stepsisters! Sure, it's not a super-gourmet meal, but like I said, I was with a group of nine and none of us was unhappy with what we ate.

I really enjoyed dinner here. The food was good. It's a buffet so I wouldn't classify it as gourmet food, but the selection was wonderful. The salads were delicious, make your own pasta bar was great and they even had sushi.

The characters were hysterical. We lived meeting the stepsisters. Prince Charming was, well charming!!!

I think it was a great dinner.

I'm going in May! I'm excited, bad reviews and all.:)

We all enjoyed it when we went (4 adults and 2 kids). I'm not crazy about buffets because I always feel that the food is never hot enough for my liking and after walking around all day I want to sit and be served.

Everyone liked the food choices here and the characters were great. I would go and judge for yourself and enjoy!

I think if you're looking for a buffet to go to Cape May Cafe. It's at the Beach Club and the options there are delicious...

1900 PF is not great. Have had it a couple of times. But, not my favorite restaurant to choose from

We went there in October and loved it. They had a delicious pot roast, sushi & salmon on the buffet along with a couple different choices for salads and the kids menu of course. I can't wait to go back.

We've been twice (or is it three times??) and I've enjoyed it each time! I don't know why it would get bad reviews.
I suppose there are a lot of people who generally don't care for buffets and probably would prefer a meal somewhere else, but I don't have anything bad to say about it at all. Go, try it, ENJOY!:thumbsup2

If you like buffets then you may like it! The character interactions are good there, the stepsisters & stepmother have a lot of personality (much more so than Cinderella & Prince Charming!). IMO, both Chef Mickeys and 1900 Park Fare are good to experience once, but we won't be returning to either place any time soon. The food was fine buffet food (but not particularly special), and I didn't like worrying about missing characters while we were up getting food.

I didn't love the atmosphere at 1900 Park Fare that much--maybe it's just because of where we sat, but it felt like any of the generic hotel ballrooms I've been in for conferences or weddings. Aside from the characters it didn't especially feel like Disney--definitely not magical. Perhaps others have had better luck with where they were seated? :confused3

Yes its that bad, in my opinion! The food was lukewarm, and stated by SRiley. The selection and quality of food was NOT good at all. The only saving grace were the characters, omg they were so funny! I wouldnt go back thou. I generally like buffets but this place was the pits. Im not sure which is worse, 1900 PF dinner or Chef Mickeys!

We did this for the first time in October and enjoyed it. The food wasn't bad and the character interaction was great. DD was afraid of Prince Charming at first and after a little while he came back to see if she wanted a picture yet which she did.

We were hesitant at first since everyone complains about all the dinner buffets but we were surprised. The food was fresh and tasty. And there are tons of desserts to choose from. Including gummie bears that DD loved.

We are doing it again this trip.

been twice. Once two adults and once with party of 9 (kids and grandkids). Enjoyed the food and loved charachter interaction. Would go back again.
