March 23, 2013 FANTASY - The Final Inaugural Cruise of the Disney Fantasy

You have not been added to the FE group yet because you have not provided all the the required information. As I emailed you, this is NOT something that is just for kids. If your entire family wants to participate, you need to send me their information. Please review these threads to explain how the FE works before making your decision. Everyone in the group is expected to distribute an FE gift to the others in the group.

Been to St. Thomas twice and Castaway Cay fourteen times. In St Thomas we went up to Paradise point and got some good views of the ship and St. Thomas and then we shopped near dock area and at castaway cay I usually just hang out on beach and relax, shoot some hoops at game pavilion and my dad does his own thing.

We've been to St Thomas once before and did a private sail & snorkel excursion over to St John. It was great and we're doing it again this time.

Never been to San Juan but are signed up for the Segway tour of the town and forts - really looking forward to trying a Segway for the first time.

We've been to Castaway Cay several times (but sadly not 14 times - yet! :)) and have done parasailing, riding jet skis, bicycling around the island, snorkeling and just hanging out on the beach. All wonderful ways to spend the the day!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OUR DISNEY FANTASY CABIN TOUR

Hi everyone we will be doing a Cabin Tour of the different categories and variations of cabins on our beautiful ship.

Volunteers are really needed to make this interesting tour work.

We need volunteers who don't mind showing off their cabins, and volunteers/disers who would like to tour.

The tour is most likely to take place on our 1st sea day Sunday March 24th at 2-4 pm, while our cabins are newly lived in.

This will also help us to locate our some of our FE doors, make plans for future cruise selections, say hello and get to recognize some of our dis friends.

If you are willing to show your cabin please PM (Private Message) me with your category and cabin number so I can add it to the tour.

If you would like to just do the tour post or PM me your request so I can add you to the list.

I'll be including my cabin a category 8A. See the pictures below of sister cabin on the dream courtesy of travelgal and momm2four

DH DW DGM DD 10
thank you so very much you can text me at

Hi, Willyguy,
I'm probably just having a "blonde moment", but I was marking up a copy of the deck plan with the FE rooms, and I can not find cabin #9065 (yes, I admit it - I'm might have an overplanning problem :hyper:) Is that a typo or maybe my deck plan is wrong? Any clarification would be appreciated!

You are right. There is no stateroom 9065. The last email that they sent has 9064.

Hi I have a question can anybody tell me if they have been to these island before, and what you all did their?

We have been to St. Thomas/St. John 2 times and CC 4 times. St. John has some of the best snorkling in the world. Trunk Bay is rated in the top 10 snorkel beaches. We took an excursion there the first time and took the ferry to St. John and rented a car for the day the 2nd time, which was much cheaper with our group of 8. As for CC, a fun beach day, swim, snorkel, pet stingrays, bike, eat, drink and make merry...relax on your last day!:beach:

Hi Everyone -

Just a question on wave phones. I have heard that cell phones are useless on the boat, is that true?

My DD (14) is going to want some freedom while on ship which is fine but I would feel better if I could connect with her if need be (a little nervous since this is our first cruise).

I have heard other cruisers talk about wave phones?

Not sure what those are??

Thanks,

Lupita

They're the Disney version of cell phones that you can use to phone and send text messages to any of the ship's wave phones or other phones such as your cabin or kids club. There are 2 per cabin. They can be used on the ship or on Castaway Cay only. There are some dead spots on the island though. I believe you can get extra wave phones from guest services once on board. They are convenient especially when you need to get in touch with a mobile child or room mate.

We just relax at CC. DH likes to take one of the kids bike riding. We did the paddle boat last time because it was too cold to do anything else. My favorite thing to do is get settled on a lounge chair on the family beach, take a break to go have lunch and return to said chair. :)

Reposting on the meet thread so everyone with the FE group will see it.

I saw a post on the main DIS this morning that reminded me of an issue some have had with the FEs. Small bottles of alcohol are really not a good idea, no matter how well intentioned. You have to remember that these are out in full view and accessible to anyone -- both innocent children who are too young to know what is in the bottle and teens who have in the past discovered them when stealing from them and then proceeded to raid all of the FEs to obtain more. I only heard reference of this last year. So even after participating in many FEs since our first cruise in 2003, if someone hadn't posted it, I would have never considered it would be a problem.

So thrilled to find this forum:yay: My DS (12) and I will be cruising on this SpringBreak cruise ... our very first Disney cruise. It is amazing to find so many other like-minded Disney fanatics :)
