Can anyone tell me what the price is to rent a cabana by the pool? Do they do full day and half day rentals? What are the hours?

Thanks!

I 10000% agree - what a GREAT post. We're staying TPV in a couple of weeks and this just amp'd up the excitement!!!:hyper:

If you don't mind 2 quick questions:

1. DH is a big peruser of TripAdvisor and said some of the pics he's seen posted of a Standard TPV are where it appears as if the person has to lean into/over the balcony railing and turn right/left to see the Castle. Is that the case with most TPV rooms??

2. Is there any kiosk or CS place anywhere in the hotel where he'll be able to get a fresh made-to-order burger/chicken fingers/fries type food? He's ultra picky and everything has to be plain-nothing on it.

TIA!! =)

1. Technically TPV at CR looks directly at the parking lot and seven seas lagoon. You will have to look right to see the castle but its not a lean or hard turn. It's more like looking across the street at a house a few doors down. BLT views are a bit closer but since the building is curved a few of the rooms on the ends require more of a turn to see the castle better. We love TPV both at CR and BLT and can't imagine booking anything else.

2. The contempo cafe should have burgers and chicken fingers, can't remember about fries. Never had a burger there but I'm sure they can make them plain.

Awesome job on the new thread!! :thumbsup2 We've been going to BLT since it opened and this year will be the first time we stay in a 1 br, love all the pics!!!

Thank you so much!! You will LOVE the one bedroom, Disneygirl. Let us know how much you loved it when you return;)

I'm so glad you're even more excited, ErinsMommy and thank you for your sweet comment.

There are two QS options at CR: The Contempo Cafe offers chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers and Angus burgers, made-to-order and the QS by the pool (Sand Bar) also has burgers/fries. You can modify your CC meal on the kiosk and if you order by the pool, you can just tell the CM when you order that you want them plain.

Yes, you can rent for a full day or half-day, but I don't have 2013 pricing information so that's why I didn't put it on the first page. I believe this info. is from 2010 and for the Poly, but I think Poly and CR prices would be the same:

$110 (+ tax) for a half day (10 - 2 or 3 - 7)

$185 (+ tax) for a full day (10 - 7)

Loving the new thread - thanks for all the great info. 38 days until we check in at BLT (studio TPV) and get to see it all in person!!

Thank you for all the inormation that you post. I get more excited for our trip every day!!
You're welcome, magrudersmakes3 and you have some great tickers there.

So glad you love it, DT83097:). Sounds like this will be your first BLT stay, but it might not be your last;)

In an effort to save DH another hour or so at searching, what is the latest bar that would be open in the Contemporary (or even BLT, that a Contemporary guest can stop by) for a beer/mixed drink. Also how much would a 6 or 12 pack of beer cost at the Contemporary vs. ordering it from Garden Grocer.

TIA again!! :)

The Outer Rim bar is open until 10 - more details are on the first page under DINING. I can't answer your beer cost question, but maybe someone else can.

Thank you!! He was hoping to find a midnite+ bar to go to after we're all asleep.

LOL! DS(24) says the cafe contempo is his favorite place to eat.

I tried to increase the size of the beer photo I have posted in the Fantasia Market section of the first page and I think the 6-pack of beer is either $13 or $15. I know that Garden Grocer has a minimum $40 purchase requirement and also a $12 delivery fee, plus optional tip.

You are awesome, thank you!! I didn't know about the minimum part. Pretty sure (or hoping) he doesn't want to buy $40 worth of beer. LOL

You're welcome:)

$40 for beer doesn't go that far at WDW:rolleyes2. Have you considered Club Level? Unlimited adult beverages are included and can be stored in your room fridge - just sayin':rolleyes1

If I told my husband this we'd stay club level every time. We were reading about dinner shows for my oldest DS' birthday trip and he saw beer and wine was included and now just wants to keep going back to the shows! Can you see my eyes rolling over the computer?!

Outside on the North end of the Grand Canyon Concourse. Benches are set up, a very nice place to watch the fireworks from.

I wish I could've afforded CL but being I paid this off myself as a surprise for DH instead of taking it from our vacation fund, it just wasn't within my reach to do. Fortunately we don't drink that much beer/drinks and we're on the DxDP, so we're perfectly happy with our Deluxe TPV stay..its our first.

Why thank you, Amanda:). CR really does have a fascinating history and has really evolved throughout the years. Those "southwestern-themed" years weren't its best, but they really made up for that with the last full rehab. I love the soft, Asian-inspired decor. I am a bit worried about the current soft rehab. Hope it's tasteful and seamless. Maybe babyberger will get the elusive photos for us next month - no pressure:hyper:

I'm very interested about the soft rehab as well. Very anxious for more info and pics!! :hyper:

I'm also thinking of booking the Pirates and Pals fireworks voyage (or whatever it's called :rotfl:) for our Dec. trip. Anyone ever done this before?
