The forecast at Walt Disney World Resort is sunny with a chance of flurries! For one week, from January 14 to January 20, 2013, the Canada Pavilion at Epcot is hosting a magical Winter Wonderland location where you and your family can play in the "snow." Here, you can also meet, greet and pose for photos with some favorite Disney Characters."

We will be there the 17th - 21st....not a magical thing for us...we live in MN trying to get away from snow and cold!

My friend is down there now, he ran the full marathon this morning! I texted him about the characters at Epcot starting tomorrow and he is going to go check it out! I told him he had to text me to tell me all about it


as for the long lost friends week, we arrive on the 24th so I'm excited to see who is actually going to be meeting and greeting. If Hercules and meg show up, I will lose my head! Jiminy and Pinocchio would be fun though. I've met them before, but I would love to see them again.

I'm so bummed some of the fun ones are already happening I have to wait til end of November for my trip. I am excited though for a good friend of mine & her family, they are getting to be there during long lost friend week.

OMG, I am so glad I am not there. We have snow all winter and I hate it. But I guess it is great for people that never see it and get to play in it. My poor dog has smelt like "wet dog" for the last few days, because we have been having a warm spell-38-40 degrees and the snow is melting. So I guess someone in my family loves the snow-because he sure does.

I was thinking along the same lines. It sounds neat, but I hate snow, and when I go to WDW next month, the last thing I want to see is any kind of snow - real or fake .

I love this idea. I hope this is a periodic frequent recurring part of the promotion but that they switch the characters up. I can think of many I would like to see like the Blue Fairy--my favorite character, and even some that my kids would like to see, maybe Jojo's circus characters and other such more recently extinct.

I feel that the Limited Time Magic events, while great if we are already there, they don't seem worth it to plan a specific trip. We were excited about the event in Canada but the pictures and reports don't make it sound that terrific.

The limited time characters at MK next week sound great. It's a shame we don't love closer. To me, while it's great if you're there, this promotion seems more aimed at people who live nearby.

I know this feeling... I've been DYING to meet Megara and Hercules! But the people I know who are working with Disney on this haven't confirmed my constant pestering about Meg and Herc being there.... But they haven't denied it either! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

It's been confirmed that there will be multiple long lost friends weeks throughout the year... so no worries! Hopefully there will be one when you come!

I'm sorry, but this is SO stupid to do in January. Thank goodness I'm not down there (yes, I'm Canadian) because I'd be cheesed coming to Florida to get away from snow and have this on.

Now if they did it in July, that would be fun and cool!

I think that this being a very slow week, up to today, this was targeted more at the locals and the fact they rarely see snow and the fact that there is snow up north now. (North being Alabama ) I think they are planning the bigger events for busier weeks, ie LLF next week which is a busier time than say this week or the weed after LLF.
