Can you fit the 1/2 gallon of milk you can buy in the food court in the mini frig in the room, if you can, how much else could you fit and are they in all the rooms?
Thanks.

Yes you can fit a 1/2 gallon of milk.

There is a picture in the 2nd post of the first page showing a mini fridge stuffed, gives you a good idea of what all you can fit in there.

Yes, there is a mini fridge in every room.

ETA: MinnieMO posted at the same time as me :)

And here is the picture from the first page of the mini fridge:

Lol yep that's the one I was talking about :) man you can get a lot of food in those little things

I've also wondered about that totoni pizza in there where would you cook that :confused3

I have been busy, busy planning since I'm within 14 days before we are on the road. As I planned my route I see that we should arrive at POP at approx 2:00am-3:00am. If we arrive during that time should we attempt to check in? Do you think the front desk will let me check in that early and let me access my room if it is ready? Or will they look at me like a compete idiot? I won't mind sleeping in my car for 5 or so hours, I will be in Disney :). But my kids on the other hand may be a different story

I think they can check you in at 6:00 a.m. and there is no guarantee that a room would be ready. They always try to accommodate people though. If you wanted in the room earlier, I think you'd have to have a reservation for the prior night and they'd give you a "late" check in.

What sections have the new door locks now?

I just got back from a stay at Pop last weekend. We were in Bldg 3 (50's section - Tramp building) on the first floor (on the side of Tramp farther from Classic Hall). Our door had the new RFID lock, but I noticed that not all rooms in our building had the new locks yet (the same floor rooms closer to Classic Hall had the old style locks).

I checked in at 7am on dec 30th and my room was ready by 815am

Thanks I had read somewhere I thought that they would all be done by the 21st which is the day I get there, 1) I'm hoping that my room has it just because its new lol 2) Because I don't wanna have to wait on them if they decide to change it in the middle of a day I decide to go back. Just my luck

I'm officially in the single digits...9 days until we pop into Pop Century! I'm hoping for the best with our requested non-accessible king bed, on the highest floor possible. We have a Preferred Pool View booked...so it feels like chances are slim. :confused3 Regardless, I know we'll have a great time! :)

Jeff, have a wonderful time! Yes, will a Pref Pool view it definitely limits your chances, but you may get lucky! You got the right attitude about it.:thumbsup2

My baby sister will be turning 21 on midnight on superbowl sunday. what are the chances that petals will still be open at this time?? whats the latest you have seen it open? thanks all! :goodvibes

hmmm.... hours are til midnight, have no idea if it would be any different on superbowl sunday.

I'll be at POP tomorrow. Its our first value stay. This thread is making me very excited!!!!!

We check in tomorrow too. It's our first value stay as well.:goodvibes

:cool1: Enjoy! When you return, we would be interested in your impressions of POP, if you would like to share. :hippie:

Lol. I didn't request a building. We can walk, so distance not an issue. Requested lake view top floor cause I am light sleeper. Building?

50's - when hubby was a child and didn't get to go to Disney but watched Mickey Mouse Club to see the cartoons.
60's- I was a kid and had my first trip to DL
70's - I got to go to DL several times and hubby got 8 hrs in Magic Kingdom.
80's- 1988 I finally visit Magic Kingdom and Epcot by myself.
90's- meet my hubby but too poor to vacation.

So, will have fond associations with any building!

Katie. Hope everyone gets their requests

Getting ready to hit the hay on our last night of our first stay at POP! We loved the resort but the CMs were even better. They really make your stay fantastic. My dd7,dh and I alk had food poison and spent all day Thurs in bed and in our room.(not from food at POP!) A dear CM i spoke to when grabbing drinks brought up a stuffed animal and toys for both girls. Very sweet of her to go out of her way to make a yucky situation better. Pop really is fantastic.

Question? If I link my Keys to the World card to my credit /debit card is there any way to look up what we have spent as we go? I did a search on the board, but all I could figure out is they will authorize your card, then let you charge up to $500 to the room, and let you know the itemized list and run the charges when you check out. I don't really want to have to write down every time I charge a fufu drink or pork shank, but want to keep track of how much I am spending, just in case I see some rare poster for hubby or something on sale. I could just use the debit card, and track online, but then I have to pay a buck each transaction as it is prepaid card. Is there some website or info on the receipt of the accumulating charges kind of like the way it shows remaining dining plan credits?

If not, I'll just write down all the charges...

Katie (and no, I don't have a "real" credit card. Or any credit card debt!) :)

The only way I know of would be to stop at the front desk or concierge every morning to get your current total.

Pool Refurbishment updates:

Hippy Dippy Kiddie Pool closed 2/19/13-3/15/13 - pool deck replacement.

Bowling Pin Pool closed 2/25 - 2/27/13

Computer Pool closed 2/28/13-3/1/13

Thanks to Sandi and mhanback for posting the info!

Yuck! The kids splash pad pool was one of the reasons we booked POP. Is there anything else similar anywhere at the resort? Or do any of the pools have an area shallow enough for a two year old to toddle around?

Alternatively, any chance they'd let us use the splash pad at art of animation since pops is closed? Or is it in a fenced in area you need a room key to access?
