Man banned from Disney World for life.

Backstage looks like the receiving area of every mall everywhere: really nothing special. Just think of the hullabaloo if that yahoo was injured somehow while sneaking around? He is lucky Disney was so polite: try sneaking around inside any other business, and go to jail and get fined big bucks.

I have been following Adam the Woo for a long time now and I am not surprised this happened to him. As much as I love seeing backstage its one thing to go back there and then another to record it and put it on youtube. If you are doing something you know you should not be doing then why show the world you are doing it.

This is where Disney draws the line in the sand?:rotfl:

they also fire employees that steal...
but only sometimes with managers...if it doesn't cause a stir or hit he news...
sometimes they make them pay back what they steal and demote them...
but not always...depending on how well they "fit the part"

Way back in the early 80's when there was only the Magic Kingdom, I remember when I was in high school on a band trip our band was in the afternoon parade. I remember when we were back stage getting ready to go onto the parade route, we were told, absolutely no pictures were to be taken. If anyone was caught taking pictures, their camera would be confiscated. Well, one of our band members took a few pictures, and guess what - they had their camera taken from them, the film was removed from the camera, and they were given the camera back, and warned if they do it again, they would be removed from the park.

They were very serious about things like that back then!

~That's too bad -- it may be best for him to leave to Florida all together, because I am willing to bet, he will try to sneak his way back into WDW. He better start over in California, and enjoy the parks again as a law abiding citizen, before he ends up in jail. This guy better thank his lucky stars, while the punishment is harsh, it could have been far worse. :( :goodvibes

Easy with the name calling please. Adam may have made some poor choices by posting his fan driven material but I think "Idiot" is a bit harsh. If you haven't taken the time to visit his You Tube channel "Adam the woo" you should have a look. Adam is an urban explorer, and his material is very entertaining. He knew the risks and what would happen if he was discovered. He now has to live with those ramifications. Adam is far from an idiot!

And there is really nothing to see backstage. No theming, just support structures, doors and dumpsters.

You are better off taking World Drive past the Contemporary and going to the monorail barn and Disney University area. Herder to get caught and there are actually some interesting stuff there.

I don't care what he is. If it says "cast members Only" and your not a "cast member" then you don't belong.

To say make a comment that he wants to... "satisfy a morbid curiosity" and...."I never received any emails from Disney on what I was doing was wrong." is just plain strange.

I was not defending his trespassing, I was addressing the name calling. He does not deserve the label "Idiot" any more than you do.

Yes, I know. It is the video of how River Country looks today that was interesting. All the stuff that could have been sold, but was just left to rot. I can't explain it, but I really enjoy seeing the "as it was/ as it is...before/after" stuff. Yes, even the front of shop / working back of shop comparison stuff. That includes lights on views of dark rides and and blueprints of ride layouts. I guess it is just the geek in me. One of the highlights on my last park visit was talking to a CM about one of the video projection systems used in the Pirates ride. :thumbsup2

Other people have done some even better attraction stuff, but it is probably better if I don't mention the links as I don't want to draw too much attention to them from the "Disney police" group. ;) that might get them taken down.

GOT VIDEO? :cool2: *

* I am the worlds biggest chicken when it come to rules. I won't tear the tags off of pillow cases. My husband asked me if my kindergarten teacher beat me for coloring outside the lines.... so I will never get to see anything unscripted unless it done by someone else and posted on video.

Well I have never taken any backstage shots but I have (I must admit) taken shots inside some of the rides when they tell you not too. But haven't we all?

I have always been a fan of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland. Its the first attraction I visit whenever I go their and was really bummed when they took it out for awhile. But when I went there this last April I just had to finally record it even though it specifically stated no recording. Now I didn't go and post it onto you tube or anywhere else. I just have it for my personal viewing but I hope I would never get evicted forever if I had got caught, that would truely suck.

I have been thinking about taking the Walk In Walts Footsteps tour again for the simple reason that they now take you into Walts apartment above the fire station so I could sneak some shots of that place for my personal use even though I've heard pictures are not allowed.

Now that I've heard this it makes me think twice about it since being banned for life WOULD NOT be an option I could live with.
