August 10, 2013 Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy

I'm keeping up!!!A little down time at work!!!

I guess we belong here too! I've been going back and forth and finally just decided to book tonight. This is our first cruise ever and I'm really nervous about claustrophobia and seasickness! We will be cruising during my birthday (a big one, SOOO not ready for this!!!).

Anyway, our party is:

Me
DD (will be 9 on the cruise)
DS (will be almost 8 on the cruise)

We would love to participate in the Fish Extender thingy, is there a separate thread for that or anything?

What excursions are you all doing? When do we book those, anyway? I'm totally new to this and although I've read a ton of trip reports I feel like I know NOTHING at all!!

We are all glad to have you here.

I put you on the lists in my first post and will gladly add you to the detailed online list for the Fish Extender exchange. For that list I would need everyone's first names (people sometimes personalize their gifts), kid's ages at the time of sailing and your stateroom number. There is NO seperate thread for the FE - I like to keep everything together.

What kind of stateroom have you booked? We usually stay in a veranda room and have never felt claustrophobic. And even the inside staterooms have the magical porthole, which gives you an "outside" view.

As for excursions .....
you will be able to book them after you are paid in full, 75 days before sailing. I have not really thought about what we will be doing yet, as we have another cruise in February before that one to make plans for.

Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. We will all try to help out as much as we can.

I am still keeping up !!! Dan has promised pix of his cruise in January and then you in February!! I told Dan to ask for tips from you > He did just update his Cruise PTR !!! Poor Dan is a busy man, a single Dad , full time Manager and part time student ( going for his bachelors)
I cannot count the times I check the menus for the cruise and have selected what I think I will try !!CarolE will just wing it !!

We were scheduled to sail on the 3/16 cruise, but just rescheduled for this one. Looking forward to getting to know you all! Cruising in our party will be myself and my husband, as well as our DD(8) and a family friend. It will be our first Disney cruise, though we are Disneyland regulars. We are from CT.

We just booked this cruise! Thought why not start a cruise thread to count down to our summer 2013 vacation!

We, that are my dear brother, Tom, who works for the Austrian Postal Services and LOVES everything Disney and myself, Karin, a teacher at a small Austrian village.
Before we took our first cruise we were sure that this would be a one time thing, but like everything else at Disney, the service was so outstanding that this will be cruise no 10 in 5
seasons!

Looking forward to get to know many of our fellow cruisers!

Sorry but we moved to a different cruise because we found at Christmas travelling with our son cross country was not very happy. So we moved to a Galveston cruise while they are still here in Texas to minimize our drive.
