Thanks Alison!!!! :flower3:

How's the meat packing coming? :lmao: Sorry... I couldn't resist. :rolleyes1

The meat packing will take minutes prior to us getting on the plane to fly to Orlando Florida and cook when we stay at our Villas at Kidani. (notice the reference to AKL and validity to posting here).

We still have many boxes of music to pack and all kinds of other stuff to do before I can even think of packing for our trip!

my younger daughter and I are staying here March 1-4 she turns 14 on the 2nd and is an animal freak. She thinks we are staying at Pop Century ;) my question is what does "no view" mean under Standard rooms? like an interior room with no windows? Standard was all they had available on the discount I used when I changed from pop. I figured she can walk around and see animals but I would not like a windowless room....thanks

....none of the rooms are 'windowless'; they all have sliding glass doors which open up onto a balcony. However, most Std rooms have a view of the parking lot. I wouldn't fret about it too much, since there are plenty of 'public' viewing areas for your DD to enjoy those animals....besides, the time of year that you will be visiting is considered 'value' season, so it's less likely that WDW will be crowded, and you stand a better chance of getting an upgrade (although you shouldn't count heavily on it! :thumbsup2 )

Joining the thread with a few days to go!

Please add me to the list: Jan 21-26. It's sort of our honeymoon? We're getting married Feb 6 and not taking a trip after so this pre-marriage trip is it for us.

...that's awesome! Congrats on the nuptuals and be sure to let them (AKL) know it it IS a 'honeymoon' of sorts...:thumbsup2

What an awesome idea!
Chance to get away & relax before all of the rush & craziness of your wedding. I think we spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon just decompressing, so by the time we wound down enough to enjoy it was almost time to go home. Wish someone had suggested that to us back in the day!

...you SHOULD have listened to your cat:

We had a parking lot view, but there were quite a bit of trees blocking the lot. We could see the cars, but it wasn't hateful. Since it was the third floor one just saw tops of some cars.

...and with those trees, I'll bet it was peaceful...

Strange question...
If I end up needing an ECV will I be able to keep it in my room?
I'm asking because our room isn't accessible - didn't think I'd need that when we booked.
:confused3

We have always been able to fit Bob's ECV in our room. Sometimes it is a bit tight, but we manage. And we have never had an accessible room.

Good morning, Js and Ks! :sunny:

Silly question, since I am on my cell... is this thread on the resorts board or the community board?

Bob and I are booked for our next Disney trip! Thanks to the kindness of a good friend who happens to be a WDW CM, we have a wonderful rate at the BC for November 2~9. Food and Wine Festival will still be going on and it ought to be cooler (hopefully) than our early October trips. We left ourselves the option of adding an AKL night at the beginning of the trip if we get good airfare. :)

I guess I need to get a countdown when we get back home from Bob's doctor appointment! :yay:

Brandi, would you please amend our stay on THE list?

We plan to arrive between 1:00 and 1:30 for our July trip. How likely are we to be able to get into our room at that time?

You have been amended...

And it is on the resorts thread...

I suppose I should give my dates. I am on the April thread, but since we upgraded I didn't know you had a roll call here too!!

April 20-27!!! It is our first stay at AKL and completely overjoyed looking forward to it!!

It is not a requirement, this is just so you can see who all might be there the same time as you and you might meet up...

You have been added

...not very, since it is a very busy time of year, but you never know....:confused3 ;) ....I suggest bringing along a change of clothes (perhaps swim suits?) to lounge by the pool during the afternoon until your room is definitely ready....and mebbe a quick lunch at The Mara?
