Nate: "Now wouldn't that be an interesting game, with everyone able to use powers. I sure hope we get to do that during gym, but doubt we will for a while. We all have to control them first. And River, I know what you mean about not wanting to show people your powers. I'm always worried about how they'll react to them, or that I might hurt someone." Nate cringed, thinking about his shaky past with his powers. He subconsciously rubbed the scar on his jawline. Quieter, he said, "You know, I usually don't even talk about them."

Margo: "I don't really talk about or use mine either. In fact, they were a complete secret until I came here. Not even my family knew."

River: "Yeah, I've never told anyone before." she said, only now realizing she still hadn't told anyone. Everyone here obviosly knew she had powers, but she never said what they were.

Margo: A breeze swept over the island, blowing Margo's curly hair everywhere. She didn't know if she'd felt as happy in a long time. Here she was, on a beautiful island with people who actually understood what it was like to have powers. She thought she would be nervous to talk it all over, but it felt great. "I'm not sure why I never told. I was kind of scared that I would be tracked down and the government would run tests on me. But really, I guess I was just scared of being, you know, different. Weird." It's not like I would have been normal without them, though, Margo thought.

River: "I've always been considered weird..." River said smiling at first and then her face shrunk as she began realizing it was true. What if her new friends thought she was weird too. She tried to shake the thought from her mind, and soaked in the beautiful atmosphere around her, but in the back of her mind she still wondered "what if they think I'm odd."

River: "I don't know what I rather do, play a sport or show everyone my powers" she said shaking her head. "those are two of my biggest fears!" she said laughing even though she was completely serious about what she was saying. She was getting more comfortable with the group, and wasn't so worried anymore.

Nate: "Now wouldn't that be an interesting game, with everyone able to use powers. I sure hope we get to do that during gym, but doubt we will for a while. We all have to control them first. Daniel: "Well, hopefully we'll all get through gym. I do think Collins will make us be cautious with out powers, at least for a while. And while I can't hurt people with my powers, I can hurt myself. I don't really talk about my powers either. My parents pretend my powers don't exist." He was quiet for a bit, listening to the others before talking again. "My parents made me hide it. All governments were thought to be dangerous if they knew about me. But I'm sure lots of people feel different. At least, everyone here does."

Wind blew through Daniel's strawberry blond hair, and he closed his eyes and smiled, enjoying the feeling.

River: River watched as both Margo and Daniel let through their hair, they both looked so happy. Why couldn't she be like that? Every time she was happy she seemed to find a reason not to be. She tried what they did, she slowly pulled her long black hair out of its ponytail, closed her eyes, and let the wind blow her hair every which way, and then she began to feel herself smiling again.

River: River couldn't believe this moment, it was something he had only dreamed about. She never wanted this moment to end.

Nate: All this talk about powers made Nate fidgety. He knew it wasn't like at home, that here it was completely acceptable to have powers. But, for some reason it was still making him nervous.

Margo: "Wow, River, you're hair is so pretty!" Margo reached into her own mess and try to tame it, but it was to no use in the wind.

Daniel: Daniel watched the others a bit more, before deciding to get back on the topic about school. "You know, it's a small school, and Professor Collins seems pretty cool. I bet we could get her to take us on all sorts of field trips."

OOC: GTG, night!

River: River heard Margo's compliment and burst into a huge smile. "thank you" she said, she couldn't think of anything else to say but inside her mind was racing. She had never been so happy and she would remember that compliment forever.

Daniel: Daniel watched the others a bit more, before deciding to get back on the topic about school. "You know, it's a small school, and Professor Collins seems pretty cool. I bet we could get her to take us on all sorts of field trips."

Margo: "Oh, I would love that! We almost never went on field trips at my old school and I didn't travel with my family. It's something I've always wanted to do!" Margo hoped Daniel was right about the field trips, but she wasn't sure. It might be a bit dangerous.

Nate: "I bet she already has a buch planned. We wouldn't have to do much convincing." Nate liked field trips because it meant no school work for a day. "If you could take a field trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?" Nate liked hypothetical questions like this, but his no one at his old school seemed to. Maybe these people would actually answer him and not laugh.

Margo: Margo thought about Nate's question. Her mind raced with all the possibilities. "I don't know if I can make up my mind! There's so many places. Maybe France. I've always wanted to go to France. That's too far for any real field trip, though. What do you all think?"

Daniel: Daniel shrugged, smiling. "I bet she does have some planned already. I've lived all over, so that's a good question. Hmm, maybe......." he began, thinking of one place he hadn't been. He'd moved, but he'd never once been on a vacation, and that was definitely a vacation spot, and one he had wanted to visit. But he bet no one here, as they were all teenagers, would think that was cool. 17 year olds like him weren't supposed to like that. So he shoved his hands in his pockets and said, "Nah, there's no point in mentioning it, I know we won't be going there." He smiled at Margo and said, "France is just beautiful. You should totally go one day. And who knows? There's eighteen or twenty of us I think, about half the size of one class at a regular school. And Professor Collins seems a whole lot different than most teachers and principals and headmasters, and the Professor's all three."

Max: Max looked at the stumbling, terrified girl, and took a slow, deep breath. She was no longer angry, but instead studied Amelia, looking thoughtful. Questions raced through Max's head. Did she see her screen? Did she know what Max was looking at? Did she read what her father had sent? For one moment, just one moment, fear flashed in Max's eyes. But then she regained control. She decided Amelia was too frightened of her and of people in general to have been brave enough to have snuck a peek at Max's screen. Sighing, she said, "I believe you." She turned around to look the email over one more time, and then against her instincts spun back around. "I wasn't on the computer. I was in the nonfiction section on this floor. Clear?" Max would wait for Amelia's nod, and after she would see it, Max would turn back around, pull up the browser, read through the email one more time, and then close it, turn off the computer, and then head out the second floor doors.

OOC: Homework. Sigh.

Amelia: Amelia nodded quickly. She wondered why Max wouldn't want people to know she was on the computer. Max was such an interesting person. Amelia had never been so intrigued by anyone before. She was usually too busy hiding to really notice things about people. Amelia quickly left the library, going back the way she came. She could check out the rest of the library later. She decided to head back to her room with her book and read until lunch.

Max: Max went into one of the girls' bathrooms. The room was clean and looked fancy, like the ones in some stores or fancier malls. Max headed over to one of the sinks and stood in front of it. She turned on the water and splashed her face repeatedly, scared of what she had just read. Why did her father always have to inflict more pain than was neccessary with his punishments, whether mental, emotional.......or physical, like this time? She stopped and looked at herself in the mirror, water dripping down her face. Max looked dead. Ugly. Her face was pale like the rest of her skin, her hair was a bird's nest, and her blue eyes looked empty. It struck her hard, as if she'd just been slapped by a powerful hand. Max knew how easy it was to make herself look expressionless, numb, but she'd never seen how it made her look.......well, dead. It suited her. Max was fourteen, and she was already dead. Here, she decided. She would come here tonight to punish herself for her father. She could wash the blood down the sink.

Daniel: Daniel shrugged, smiling. "I bet she does have some planned already. I've lived all over, so that's a good question. Hmm, maybe......." he began, thinking of one place he hadn't been. Margo: "I wouldn't be so sure we won't go somewhere. I mean, there's a learning experience in almost everywhere. I'm so jealous that you've traveled everywhere. It's my dream, to see the world, but so far it hasn't been possible. What are places you have been to?"

Nate: Nate knew he probably shouldn't push it, but he was extremely curious about the place Nate wouldn't mention. "C'mon, man, tell us! We won't laugh. Probably not at least. For me, I might choose New York. They've got the Giants, Jets, Knicks, Mets, and the Yankees of course. I would love to go to a few of those games."

Margo: "Is sports all you ever think about?"

Nate: "Pretty much. Sports and food." He grinned a huge grin at her. If only she knew the thousands of millions of things he thought about in a day, even if each thought only stayed in his brain for two seconds before he was distracted by something else.

Daniel: Daniel shrugged. "It's pretty cool to travel around the world, I guess. Let's see, the family's currently in Spain, but I've also been to Los Angeles, France, New York, Canada, Hawai'i, France, Germany, Japan, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Greece, Austrailia, Washington D.C, New Orleans, South Korea, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Poland and I'm forgetting one........... oh yeah, Sweden. Rumor has it next will be Austria and then Norway after that, but I'm not certain. New York was pretty fun. Broadway, sports, Statue of Liberty....pretty cool. Okay, well, I've wanted to go to Disney for a while. Not that we'll ever go." He laughed at Nate and Margo, amused.

Ooc: I am so so so sorry I haven't been on! I have been really busy so I couldn't be on lately. I should be able to get on a lot more often now, but I'm still sorry!:worried:

Ooc: oh gosh hi, great to hear from you as well! I've read what I've missed so thats alright, but I'm a little confused on just one thing. Is everyone in a free period or are we doing something else?
