I am headed down next week and have the dining plan. I was wondering if anyone has used the dining plan yet in 2013 and dined at either the San Angel inn or chefs de France and got the 3 course meal and been charged a surcharge?

Also, at the San Angel inn, what was the appetizer and main course? The are listed different on allearsnet and wdwinfo.

Thanks

The only surcharges for multi-course prix fixe appear to be at Marrakesh and Monseiur Paul's.

I'm thinking of booking Chefs de France to have the Prix Fixe meal on the DP for August, but wanted to be sure it was included. I called WDW Dining, and the CM dug for the info, then told me I could either add the Prix Fixe option to my DP for an extra charge before I arrive (by adding it to my package), or wait till we get to the restaurants to add it individually.. Ummm, ok... I wish that when the WDW executives make the decision to change the rules, they would share the info with the CMs who have to answer our questions....:confused3

Don't know where they got that info because it's entirely incorrect.

The extra charge for prix fixe to me is such BS if you're on the deluxe dining plan. Prix Fixe is usually meant to save people money and entice them to order more, but you're already doing that with deluxe so why does it still require a fee? So frustrating...

If they actually do charge a surcharge when on the deluxe plan (don't know if the do), can't you just order any appetizer and any entree, so just order those off the regular menu. All items on the prix fixe menu should also be sold separately.

It says, "Choosing items from a separate prix fixe menu offered at certain
locations requires payment of a surcharge in addition to redeeming
the number of Table-Service entitlements required at the location." I wish they would be a little clearer... but I had read somewhere it was a smaller fee vs regular dining plan, but still.

There was a restaurant I was looking at with prix fixe menu items not on the regular item (it was lamb).

Oh, ok...yeah if you do have to pay a surcharge on deluxe I would be really mad in that case.

This does not mean that every restaurant with a prix fixe menu charges dining plan guests extra for it. It means that certain locations may charge extra for it. The only two I know of that do so are Marrakesh and Monseiur Paul's.

Flying Fish has a prix fixe menu that is not included in the dining plan at all.

Monsieur Paul was the one where they offered lamb as an entree ONLY with prixe fix, it wasn't on the regular menu :(

So I understand it right that Chefs de France Prix Fixe is one TS Credit on the regular Dining Plan without as surcharge?
