Where do we go on the Fantasy to have this change made? We did it on our last cruise (Dream) and dinner was much more relaxing for us.

First, you should have the request noted on your reservation. Call DCL and let them know you want a table for 2. If you used a TA, they have to make the call.

When you get your Navigator at checkin, it will say where the dining changes are being handled. Go there and see if you got your request, and, if not, request it again.

We had our TA request it and ended up at a table of four for the three of us. On half the nights, DS opted for dinner in the club, so it became a table for two. Very relaxing and also expedited the dinner process. We were usually done in just over an hour start to finish including dessert and coffee.

I requested this through my TA also, though he has not confirmed that he put it on our reservation. Is this something that should show up when you log in on the DCL website on your reservation summary? We also requested to make note that we are celebrating our honeymoon. I'll have to bug him about it closer to the cruise, I'll give him a break since it is still 11 months away LOL.

In five Disney cruises we have successfully requested and gotten a table for 2 on all of them. We've been on all 4 ships. Whether you call beforehand or wait until you are onboard the head server team has been more than gracious when we arrived at the dining change location posted in the Navigator. I will say it helps to make it easier for them (i.e. don't "demand" a certain rotation, plus table for two, plus location of table, plus server team, and so on). Be flexible and friendly and they seem to always accommodate! :-)

Just received a reply from TA. She said it was indeed best to have it on the reservation and she took care of it for me. So, just to be clear, we still have to go to the dining change location (listed on the Navigator) to check the status of the request. Right? (FYI... we're a family of 3 and would have to get a 4-top of our own.)

You can call dcl directly on this even if you used a ta. I made this call about a month ago to request a table for four and a specific dining rotation.

Yes, you should still go to dining changes to verify if the request was filled. As it is just a request, it may or may not be. It is possible, if it was not, for them to make it happen once you are onboard.

In the past when I have requested a large table we have shared with at least another 5 people (we usually sail as a party of 3). But over the most recent cruises I've noticed the table sizes getting smaller. My last few cruises we shared with only 3 other people. And when we were concierge no one else. I even had a table of 2 just for my mum and myself last week. I don't botrher with the request for any size table anymore. I'm happy with what ever I get.

Thanks, I was wondering about that. Also last year I noticed more tables of 4 seats than on prior cruises, even for non-concierge guest.

Concierge guests will always be seated by themselves unless they request otherwise.

Really? I didn't know that! I was trying to figure out in my mind how they would sit us with other families considering there are 6 of us. Someone mentioned 8 at a table. I was going to feel badly for the couple without children that got stuck with us!!! :lmao: Glad I don't have to worry about that!!
