Did my 2005 Park Hopper/No Expir/Magic Plus tickets change???

We bought three tickets in 2005 for 10 days park hopper admission with 5 "Magic Plus" visits with the no expir option.

We have used a few days here and there since.

In 2009, we checked our ticket while staying at the GF. I noticed the header on Disney's computer printout now reads "10 Day Park Hpr w/10 Fun visits" even though our physical ticket states "10 Day Park HPR w/5 MPP visits".

Thinking about it, I guess I am wondering did Disney convert over those older tickets after they changed Pleasure Island in 2007/8? Since you no longer had to pay admission to go to Pleasure Island, did they double the other visits allowed to the water parks, etc.?

Just trying to figure out if I truly have all those extra water park days or if I will still be done after my fifth water park visit.

Thanks,

DWF

We had 4 of these passes from 2007, with 10 park days and only 6 water park days on the original ticket. I had them reprinted in October because they weren't working in the fast pass machines, and when the CM gave me the new tickets, 4 extra water park days had been added.

I'm going to move this over to the Theme Parks board, where the ticket experts hang out. :thumbsup2

Yes.

When they upgraded the current 10-day MYW tickets' WPF&M option to 10 entrances for WP's, etc.
they retroactively will add that total number of entrances to still-active older tickets.

Same goes for the 9-day (and under) tickets.
You'll get (total) the same number of WP (etc.) entrances as the number of "days" on the original ticket.

Thanks! Very helpful. Not often, I guess, that Disney just gives you free days! Although I guess some might have complained about the loss of Pleasure Island in the original format.

To get the additional days actually added, you have to have the ticket replaced, such as having been demagnetized. When the replacement ticket is issued, the system will automatically add the extra Fun visits.

Not sure that is true. My 2005 tickets have the original 10+5 on the back, but when I asked to have the ticket checked at the Grand Floridian in 2008/9, the printout clearly stated 10+10 FUN even though it still had the original ticket number.

I guess I can ask the ticket office next time I am down there unless somebody else has some more info on whether or not I actually need to replace those original tickets.
