FE did you ever get caught?

Has anyone ever been caught putting gifts inside the FE by the recipient? We've actually kept walking and returned later if a stateroom door was opening as to not get caught. (like if we were doing something wrong)

Yes, but we just went ahead a put the stuff in. Also, that way you're sure that it won't "missing" when it sits in there for a long time.

We opened the door to leave just as we were getting FE gifts dropped off.
We stood in the hallway and visited - it was nice to chat and they had just bought DVC and we talked about that too. Then when we saw them around the ship we would wave or talk about activities.

My kids LOVED trying to catch people! If they heard people in the hall, or someone brush up against the door, they were quick to swing it open! They caught a couple, but most FE gifters are pretty sneaky! They thought it was more fun to see who the gifts were actually from than to just receive anonymous gifts.

Yep.. It was fine. It was actually nice because the kids came up and thanked us later. I often wonder if people liked the stuff we gave- and in this instance we knew they did

We have had it happen both ways...when delivering and when receiving. We just deliver then and continue on. Have chatted a bit with whoever it was. We don't skip, especially on the new ships.

Not quite, but we were just coming back making deliveries when we ran into another couple making deliveries (on our deck, no less!) As obvious as it was what was going on, we all hemmed and hawed and pretended it was all innocently something completely unrelated.

Yes we got caught! They were trying to get the baby to take a nap, and one of the parents was leaving the room! The baby had been crying! They used it an an incentive to get the baby to sleep! Never found out if it worked or not! But thought that was neat!

I deliver mine first thing in the morning when I get up. Usually between 6 - 7am. Hardly anyone is up and it's like having the ship to myself.

No one has caught me and we haven't caught anyone.

We had one family who was a large family with connecting rooms. We had a lot of stuff for them. We had just started to take the stuff out of the bags when we heard the kids yell "Bye Mom and Dad, love ya!" and run toward the door. We skipped a few steps ahead and just ended up looking like people walking down the hall since the kids all went the other direction.

Yeah, we're pretty much ninjas.

Yes we have been caught a few times. (thats how we got to see one of the suites on the Magic -- we were delivering and we got to talking and we got a tour!!)


We have caught people too -- just because we are in / out so much.

I got caught putting the Roaming Gnome on someone's door. They actually opened it while I was trying to put it on their door. Funny part was since there was so many magnets on their door already I had to put it an the lower part of the door. So when they opened it my face was at level with his netherparts...it was hilarious!

I loved one time I opened the door and found a teen boy and his smaller brother handing the gifts out. They were too cute at getting 'caught'.

Hah! On our last cruise on the Fantasy, it was our first time in concierge--we had a one bedroom. When we opened the door on someone dropping off FE stuff, they asked about the room and we invited them in for a tour. Sounds like a great way to get to see the different rooms!
