Yes! The fish has learned to juggle since then, so he is no longer boring.

But seriously... we were there a year ago and there was a variety of fish and lot's of submerged artifacts such as boats and a submarine. My son and I enjoyed it. Sure it doesn't compare to scuba diving in Hawaii, but it was still fun.

We have seen multiple species of fish. The concrete vases are artificial reefs, and the fish have found them.

There is a small sunken boat, which again serves as a reef/home for fish. So does a sunken Nautilus from the original 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Ride. There is also a sunken Mickey statue and a sunken Minnie statue.

Most of the good stuff is far out, so don't give up when you are only halfway out: you are just about to reach the fun!

We were there three months ago and saw a variety of schools of fish, the sunken treasures, and we looked but couldn't find Mickey or Minnie! We also snorkeled at Serenity Bay and saw a number of fish. Others reported seeing nurse sharks and a barracuda!

We saw a Barracuda two years ago. On our last trip I was surprised to find the 20,000 League Under the Sea ride sub submerged in the lagoon. I rode that a bunch as a little kid and speant probably 20 minutes floating and diving around it.

Just did the fantasy NYE and I can speak for serenity bay.... Tons of life!!! Sting rays, reef shark, sand dollars, multiple kinds of fish, snails, crabs, corals... I wish I had snorkel equipment!! Next time I will!!

Yes, you can BYO snorkel gear.

They will loan you a yellow snorkel vest, which is mandatory. You don't have to inflate it. It's so the lifeguards can spot the guests in the water.

I got some great shots in November of a giant parrotfish, lionfish (!) and a hermit crab as big as my fist - and that was just the part of it I could see sticking out of one of those big fancy shells!

The interesting stuff - Mickey, Mickey, sub - are located under the colored bouy balls that are straight out (and far out) and skewed to the right side of the the lagoon.

Here's a couple shots I took two weeks ago. Lots of different kinds of small fish and a few good-sized ones, too. If you swim out to the buoys, they mark where the submerged items can be found.

There's actually 2 different trails for snorkeling a beginner and advanced. One is the white buoys the other orange. Each has different things to see. I've never seen a lack of life in the waters there.

It is originally from 2010 but has pictures of sharks and other sea life taken at CC. It also has my encounter with a Black Tip Shark at CC-SB beach.

One story I read about somewhere; someone went in water at CC, then ran out claiming there are real fish in the water and I thought this was a Disney cruise!

From what I saw, there were a lot of guppies, and a couple of trumpeter fish, but it's much more shallow at Serenity Bay than the snorkeling lagoon. Also, no artificial reef in SB means you're not as likely to see as many different kinds of fish, but I'm always hearing about the shark and barracuda sightings there.

I've snorkled at CC twice now and loved it both times. First time I had a huge brown southern stingray swim along with me for a while. He was awesome! I've never seen one that big even on scuba dives. This past year I saw a sea turtle. That's in addition to the great Disney staging and fish too numerous to list here. I like to go later in the day when the morning rush is over and the lagoon is less crowded.
Haven't tried snorkeling Serenity Bay yet. Plan to do that on our next cruise.

We have not snorkeled at Serenity Bay (but plan to in May). Our past trips we just waded around looking in the water spotting fish, sand dollars, shells, crabs, octopus, clams, and starfish. (I've never seen sharks thank goodness!!!) At low tide, Serenity Bay is pretty shallow and I can walk out about three hundred feet before I can't touch anymore. We've visited Serenity Bay four times and have always seen lots of sea life. It seems to me that most guests who visit Serenity Bay prefer to stay on the beach so we usually feel like we have the water to ourselves.
