We will be in WDW this weekend and of course of beloved Pats will be playing on Sunday! We have ADR's for Ohana at 8 and thought we could go a bit early to watch some of the game in the lounge. How can we be sure they will have it on? Is there a number I could call to ask in advance? I really want to keep our reservations at Ohana but need to know what other options we have if Poly does not have it on....

I heard that ESPN is not going to be open..is this correct?
We are staying at POR..would they be showing it in lounge?

Any other resorts in the MK area that would have it on in a lounge?

Any suggestion is great!

Not really sure why you'd want to ruin your vacation by watching my Ravens go to work on Brady. :thumbsup2 Every time I've been in a bar or lounge down there I've never had a problem with getting them to turn on the game. As far as I know ESPN will be closed. I'd just ask the bartender or whoever to turn it on once you get there.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Now THAT'S a good one!!!!!! Maybe you should come to Poly and watch with us....it would be much easier for you to take the "whipping" if you were sitting in WDW with a LAPU LAPU in hand! LOL

What a perfect first day in WDW....MK, then POLY for drinks/game/OHANA, then back to MK to celebrate with extended park hours!

LOL seriously thanks for the reply...it makes me a bit less stressed knowing I don't have to try to rearrange our first night!

Rumors of ESPN Club's demise are greatly exaggerated. It will be open next weekend. But - if you want to watch the game there plan on being in line as soon as it opens.

Well I guess that is not an option for us then since we don;t get to WDW until noon. We will keep fingers crossed that Poly has it on!

ESPN Club.. but yeah, it fills up VERY fast.. we were there on Sunday the 6th and by 12:30, there was a significant line.

Also -- little known trick - SPLITSVILLE at Downtown Disney has sports screens throughout the restaurant, bar and bowling areas.. they had the games up loud and proud. In fact, we watched a few minutes of an NBA game from the TV they have at the outdoor bar .

Only part of ESPN Club is closing for refurb (maybe the arcade? Do they have one? I read it on another thread and forgot!) Regardless, the restaurant/bar will be open. But I agree with PP - get there at opening unless you want to stand shoulder to shoulder! We watched football at ESPN Club early in the regular season. We got there an hour early and got the last table in the bar!

We watched March Madness basketball from the Poly lounge in year's past, so I would imagine they will have it on.

And GO RAVENS! Not because I am a Ravens fan, but because I am a Bills fan :smokin:

Correct. Its only the arcade that is being worked on. The rest of the place is open as usual.

Oh trust me if I could join you guys for the game I would! I watched the 2011 Super Bowl from Rix Lounge in CSR and it was a blast. The wife and I won't be down until April :worried: Make sure to come back here and post after the whipping :cool1: lol. Enjoy the game!

I was faced with same thing for Indy ravens game. I went back to resort since it was 1:00 game kid and wife got a nap in. Since we won there wasn't much screaming involved. But i did find that the little bar next to chef mickeys to be a nice spot with a tv and drinks. They will have game on for sure. And it's the first monorail stop when u leave mk. Hope this helps

Let me try my question here: can I watch this game in HD in my room at the Contemporary? Do Disney resorts actually have HD channels?

Perfect! Thank you! At least I know it is close by and easy to get to if needed! I think I will have DH head to Poly early to see if they will have it on (I am sure he won't mind hitting the lounge for a bit!) and if they don't we can head to CR!

Many downtowndisney hotels have sports bars with good food, best I found is buena vista palace( or whatever it is called now) also just across street from bus stop.

We just stayed at All Star Sports (a Value) and they had the major networks in HD (CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, ESPN etc) ... So yes.

Everyone else has given some good answers. There are a lot of bars right off property, including Buffalo Wild Wings and Orlando Ale House that are very good and will have the games on very large TV's...

Apart from that, go PATS!!!
