Is there really only a few of us? Has this ever happend on your cruise?

The shorter cruises don't tend to get as much action on the meet threads as the 7+ ones, unless previous cruisers have booked them together as a group or are the DVC member cruise perhaps. There just isn't as much time to plan for things.

I think it varies. I have booked (and had to move) on a couple cruises out of Miami that have had almost no activity on these boards. I guess most of the folks sailing are either not disboard members or don't want to do a meet-n-greet or FE.

As far as I know, there will not be a meet and greet, but there is a Fish Exchange started. So for those only interested in the FE, please sign up. Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. We've booked the last cruise of April 2014 on the Wonder, a 5 day that stops in Castaway Cay, and it's the cheapest 2014 cruise I could find. I figured people would jump on it, but we haven't had anybody even say they are coming on the meetup boards.

Makes me wonder if everyone else knows something I don't about the Caribbean in April.

2014??? that's still a long way off, many people haven't booked yet. Our cruise that OP is talking about is only 3 months away! lol.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Galveston & Miami are attracting more first time Disney cruisers that don't know about this place. Our March 19 sailing out of Galveston appears to be close to sold out (all inside rooms gone and only one category of ocean view available & 2 of verandah the last I checked), but there are only a handful of people on this website going.

wow, ours is selling out too. Looking now there's only 1 category Inside Cabin left and 1 category Ocean View Cabins available. Although there's a whoooooole lot of Verandah categories left. I would hope for an upgrade, but I'm too nervous to have a verandah room with young kids, lol

ETA: oooh, I will take the 1 bedroom concierge cabin though, even with a verandah! :P

Some of the new Miami cruises have been the same way. However, now that we are only a 14 days away there are more people joining up because of the deals they are running.

Just luck of the dates sometimes. There was more activity on the first few this year, rather than the ones at the end of January that we were looking at.

Our cruise meet had only 3 families participating until about 3 weeks ago (which would have been @ 8 weeks from sail away) But when we could book excursions etc at 90 days out, all of the cabanas were already gone. Which says to me LOTS of repeat cruisers, not so many Dis-ers.

Our FE and meet groups only had a few people in them at first. Around day 100 things rapidly changed. We ended up with about 25 to 30 cabins by the end.

We don't have a lot of Cruise Meet activity on either of our B2B Dream cruises in March. The cruises are basically sold out too. Guess it's just the shorter cruises...Can't wait to go to the Med in 2014!!!!! I LOOVE my long cruises!
