Yes, but the OBB you get from the TA might be less than if you had named the TA onboard.

So I can name a specific TA on board and still get the discount AND the OBC and they automatically transfer the booking to the TA?

Yes, only it will not be considered a transfer.

Correct. We do this on every cruise. You get all the DCL benefits, the TA gets the full commission (just as if they had made the reservation). This means that the TA will give you the full amount of whatever perk or benefit they offer for a booking.

It goes thru the system just as if the TA made the booking except that you get all the onboard benefits. We usually have an e-mail confirmation from the TA before we get home (in addition to the confirmation put in our fish mail slot on board the ship.

If you transfer to a TA after you get home, the TA gets a reduced commission and may reduce their benefits to you.
