Crab Legs: Fultons or Cape May?

The title says it all. I LOVE snow crab legs and want a dinner that includes them. I will be eating with 5 other adults, though so want a good overall pick. We will be using credit, either one or two, so the fact that Fultons is overpriced is not a huge deal.

Neither  We were disappointed with the snow crab legs at both places. Small, over cooked and all stuck to the sides of the shell they were hard to eat. We would not repeat either, Sorry :worried:

We went to Fulton's for the first time this past September and I had the Snow Crab legs. I really enjoyed them, they were so big and sweet. As for Cape May, their Snow Crab Legs were good too, but if I had to pick between both of these restaurants, I would say Fulton's.

Fulton's was way better than Cape May. The crab legs we had at Cape May were just dripping water. We usually get the Alaskan King Crab legs or claws at Fulton's, but the Snow Crab legs were good there Also.

If you are looking for the best king crab claws you will ever eat then go to Fultons...the snow crab legs at Cape May is great too but if I gave my hubby the choice he would pick Fultons every time

I guess I'll be the odd person out here who says Cape May. I really enjoy their snow crab legs, and our family books Cape May every year as it's the one time of year my crab-leg-loving sister gets her crab legs. A plus (or is it a downside?) to Cape May is that the crab legs, like everything else, are all-you-care-to-eat, so you could end up, if you so chose, with many buckets of crab legs to enjoy. Plus, there's a lot of other good food on their buffet, so if you're looking for a dinner that includes both crab legs and other things, go there. However, if you're not interested in buffets, none of this matters. In that case, go to Fulton's.

. . . Fulton's, as several other DTD eateries, like Portobello and Wolfgang Puck, is part of the Levy chain.
. . . Most seafood is quite good, but many think overpriced.
. . . The crab claws are good, but pass the lobster or crab legs, as major disappointment lurks.
. . . One would expect far better service considering the price.
. . . However, the "riverboat" is a nice environment, but the staff does not keep the place clean enough for our taste.
. . . Be prepared to give CPR to your wallet when the bill comes, and try not to gasp too loudly.

Both were rather disappointing, but between the two if that is what you are searching for-go with Fulton's. We went with Cape May for some of the other offerings and it was ok.

These are completely different dinning experince's, to say the least. We have eaten at both and we were not thrilled with either's offering of crab legs, but if I had to pick one it would be Cape May.

Fulton's - the riverboat is fun and a nice enivorment - but I agree with another poster that is was not really clean, in the dinning room, now the bar area for us is nicer and offers good drinks, and appetizers. The service is not very good, very snotty server, she acted like she was doing us a favor, on our 2 nd try not as bad service, just did not seem to give a flip, but at least brought us our food and kept our drinks fulls. For us we feel it is over priced for the amount of food you get and the cost :scared:\\ We had dinner and walked around DTD, but on the Bus ride back to the resort, DH said I am still hungry, and I answered me too, so we headed to the food court, The shrimp Po'boy was better than the food from Fulton's that night.

Cape May - cute themeing - very clean - For a group of people it does offer more options for dinning. We enjoyed it all times that we have eaten here. You will get more for your money and leave full. Only once were the crab legs just not good, but more often they are good. For us this has worked out, as sometimes with a group, someone doesn't like or might have a shell fish issue, here there are lots of other choice's.

If you have a car and really want Crab Legs, there are lots of good offering near Disney to try out.

Thank you all. I think that I might give up my craving for crab legs and go somewhere else completely instead. Neither Cape May nor Fultons seems reliable. I was looking at Narcoossee's menu and it looks amazing. I am leaning towards doing that and trying to see the fireworks instead. My ILs really like high quality dining, so Narocossee's will probably suit them better.

Narcoosees was the best meal we have ever had at Disney World! I highly recommend it!

May I suggest Flying Fish on the Boardwalk, Yummy and you can see some of the fireworks from the back of Epcot, or if you have a PH you can go through the back gate to see them up close.

I ate at Cape May last weekend and it was the BEST meal I've ever eaten on property. The crab legs were excellent as well as the fried calamari, and the steak.

I almost spit my iced tea on the computer screen when I read this! But...so true.

I agree with the poster about Narcoosee's...my DM and I had two of the best lobsters there back in August!

I do really like calamari nights at Cape May, but the crab legs can be hit or miss. If you have a dining companion along who is a land lubber, there aren't a great deal of choices with this location. But if you are dining with a 13 ye old who practically inhales clams and calamari, thus is the location to head to :)

Thanks again! We are planning on going to Flying Fish on another night, so I am glad to hear the recommendation! This trip is all about the kids during the day and then the adults eating well at night while the kids are in bed (@ 6pm and one adult will stay with them), so I really do not want to have any regrets about our food choices.
