I applied that coupon and the original price is still 359. Is that discount applied when the van is returned? I just wanted to make sure I understood. It was accepted on the website but the price didn't change..... Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Just make sure that directly to the right of the shown vehicle, in the little box and sideways on the initial quote screen, it says "coupon applies". Not all coupons work with a discount code. And as previously mentioned it is applied at return of rental.

We are picking up our rental on May 31 for 10 days in June - so I'm assuming that a May code will for me as long as we pick up on May 31. Right?

I'll be watching this one too. We need a rental for May 1-18. Right now I'm still working on getting a better rate for my January 23 trip (3 weeks away). National is over $300, but I do have a good rate for Alamo just under $200. If this is any indication, we won't see anything decent until weeks before our trips.

There has been some downward movement in prices for my dates. (May 22 - June 1) Using the KLM code at National the price was $478 last week but when I checked today it was at $428.

I decided to follow the advice of the pp (thanks!) and go ahead and book something for our week in May. Booked a minivan for a week through Dollar using the Orlando Magicard (which we have) corporate code from Mousesavers.com. The base rate is $286 ($372 total with taxes and fees). DH was happy with this rate, but I will periodically check around to see if we can get an even better deal.

We use Dollar often and although we book ahead, I keep checking. Sometimes their best rates come out 1-2 weeks before travel without using any code at all. I have gotten rates as low as $13.00 for an intermediate doing this.
