We have never done Disney before and we are a family of 6, plus going with the in-laws and we are getting 2 standard value rooms. We are under 2 separate reservations and we are doing QS dining. My question is how does the dining work? Does each reservation get a card for dining, or does each person get a card? I really am clueless.

Everyone will get the"Key to the World" (KttW). It will work as your dining card and your room key! You will show the QS place your card when it is time to pay and they will deduct the meal credit from you account. On your receipt it will also let you know how many more QS meals you have...you don't have to have 3 per day....you can have 4 one day and 2 the next. Make sense?

But each room has their own "key"? I am asking because 2 of our children are listed under my inlaws reservation. So will we have to make sure up eat meals with inlaws, or will my kids have their own "key"? Hope I am making senses, LOL.

Each person has a key. But the dining credits are kept in each reservation. My DD5 had her own key, but I could use my key to pay for her and DHs meals since we were all on the same reservation. So since your kids are on another reservation, you will need one of their cards to "pay" for their meals.

For our table service meals it did have the dollar amount, but it also give you suggested tip for 15 and 18%.
