I know a lot of people have questions about the preteen club, the edge. I know pretty much all about the edge so any one who has questions I can answer them. I will try my best to give u a good answer.

I have read several different places in the last few months that occasionally they let 10 year olds in to The Edge. Mine will be 10 years and a month, so I know that he isn't close at all. He was so bored with the children's programming last time and he was only eight then. He's very mature for his age, so I am hoping that it will work in his favor and they will let him in. The limit is usually within three months of the qualifying birthday, and that's only if there is room. They have to save space for all the kids who paid fare equivalent to their correct age.

Does the Wonder have the touch screen kiosks, like the Fantasy, left of the karaoke machine in the club?

Actually yes. They do let kids in that are ten if the edge is not filled to capacity. You will have to talk to the counselors in the kids club to see if there's any available space. They also have certain activities in the edge where any one 9-14 can participate in. To participate in these they must be signed up to be allowed to sign themselves out of the kids club.

I'm guessing your talking about the wonder. I don't remember any touch screens- the fantasy edge and the wonder edge are VERY different.

The elevator that goes down to the edge is midship and it would go to the second floor. The edge is in the middle of the elevators. It should be very easy to find unless your like me and go down the aft or mid ship elevators.

I'm interested in this too. We've been disappointed with programs on other ships for this age group. It's often just a dance party or pizza party and nothing really organized.

Some of the activities are very structured (like scavenger hunts, certain activities that leave the room, etc.) They can control all of the electronics in the room and they shut them all down and kind of force the kids to participate or leave. At that time I would always stay (I love the scavenger hunts!) but a large number of kids would leave to go get food or ice cream or something.

Sometimes they would have two at once and you didn't have to do either (dodgeball, crafts, bingo, etc.)

They are definitely encouraged to participate but a lot of the time kids won't because they think there's something better to do with the freedom around the ship.

You can read above for more. I do think disney does a great job with the activities and everyone would participate if they didn't have ship freedom. The activities are always very organized and unique.

Bingo (for prizes)

For the pizza making or cookie making if the child has a gluten allergy will Disney accommodate then for this activity? Disney has always been amazing accommodating a gluten free diet but I am not sure about these activities.

I'm not 100% sure but I do remember them asking about any allergies. I'm sure disney would be able to do something.

Last year my DD sailed with a gluten allergy. They did ask for allergies for club purposes and said that she would not be able to participate in the cooking activities since they can not guarantee there isn't cross-contamination in the club. DCL is fabulous regarding gf in the rest of the ship.
