We are staying in a timeshare near LAKE BUENA VISTA. We decided to try out Giordanos and it turned out to be a fabulous choice. Our waiter was attentive and charming, pizza was delicious, and the blue cheese pear salad...oh so fresh! We had a very entertaining balloon artist make us Santa hats and we all left smiling and laughing. Highly recommend this off site restaurant!

We love it also! I typically will get a "gift certificate" from restaurant.com....just love it!!!

I can't wait to try it this year. We have a restaurant.com certificate for the one in Kissimmee. I am so glad restaurant.com certificates do not have an expiration date. We didnt get around to going to Giordanos last year, so I intend to use it this year.

I friend of ours makes balloons at restaurants in Tampa. His preteen daughter now comes along and makes balloons too! It's such a fun thing to do. But you won't believe how many people do not tip them and do not realize that they do not work for the restaurant. I believe the restaurant gives them a small amount to show up, but they make their money from the tips. All ages get smiles from balloons!

does anyone remember how many slices are per pizza? We got the small last time we went and if I remember correctly it had four slices, just wondering how many are on the med. or Large??:confused3

I can't answer that but I will say we got a medium and it was too much for the 5 of my family and we are 2 adults and 3 teenage daughters. We had leftovers for a few days!! :).

that sounds great, there are 4 of us,but my Dsis has 5, so sounds like 2 med. would be perfect!:thumbsup2

I just got a certificate for Giordanos on Restaurant.com, can't wait to try this Pizza Place!

Can any of you tell me which Giordanos location is closest to Animal Kingdom Lodge?

The one on 192 would be closest to AKL. From AKL take a right on Sherberth Rd and follow it out to 192, take a right on 192 and Giordanos will be on your left a short way down.

BUT color me unimpressed. We ate there last month, we had a thin crust cheese pizza and it wasn't anything to write home about, the crust had that "frozen" taste to it and the sauce was blah! I've had better pizza from Pizza Hut in my opinion!

But to each their own.

I just posted on another topic about our trip a few days ago. They changed the menu and took off everything I liked. I don't eat pizza because I can't eat bread dough so I went for eggplant parm. It is not on the menu.
I had ravioli and it was the frozen kind and they cooked it aldente. I like my pasta cooked till mushy.

Their claim to fame is their stuffed pizza. I wouldn't order the thin crust from them. I can get a thin crust pizza anywhere.

Loved the stuffed pizza I ordered from them. Got a salad with it and had leftovers for two additional nights.

didn't want to start another thread so thought I'd ask here. Personally my restaraunt.com gift cert. says dine in only, which we enjoy, my question is can you call your order in and tell them you have the gift. cert. that we will be dining in,but just want to order so it is almost done when we get there??

Great question! If they will allow this, I would probably do it for our next trip :).

I've never done this, but why would you think you couldn't? You are dining in. You are just placing your order earlier. But if you are at all concerned, just ask when you call in your order.

some places won't let you do this...it is a 35 min wait for a stuffed pizza longer if their busy..just thought if they would let me call it in then we would be there less and not keep a table as long..my concern of why they might not let me is this: what if you called it in then they get a bunch of people come in, you get there and no table available and you've already ordered?? Then what? This is why some places won't let you. But I plan on calling them and asking this question before I even leave on vacation!;)

A couple of years ago we called them as we were leaving HS and placed our dine-in order for the pizza, then ordered salad and pasta when we arrived. We used a restaurant.com cert that time. I just explained that we had small kids and wanted to reduce the wait time. It worked out perfectly, the pizza was ready within 10 minutes of our arrival. This was in mid-January, so not a busy time. We're planning to do this again next week.

We had leftovers for days, too. The deep dish pizza reheats well in the oven.
