It's a new membership, maybe I'm just being impatient cuz I want to start reserving ASAP, I was just surprised about not getting my number since I read how other members got their numbers before the letter

You will soon learn that DVC isn't consistent and they change policy as they see fit.
IMO they deliberately make resale buyers wait to punish you for not buying direct.

Call MS and ask them to look it up without the member number.
