I can't believe how many people get stuff Fed Ex'd to them. We never, ever do. Maybe at Xmas time, but that's actually mostly UPS.
If I ever had a Fed Ex envelope waiting for me I'd assume it was something bad, like we were getting sued or something, lol.

That's exactly what I thought when we got our FedEx letter last year saying I had won the OMDD contest. Then I figured maybe companies were sending spam through FedEx now.

That was just MEAN!!!

So my cell phone starts ringing in my classroom today...I was teaching, phone was across the room on my desk. I go racing over to the phone, screaming, "That might be my Disney call!" Kids were sorely disappointed for me when it wasn't, but they had a lot of fun watching me trip over desks to get to the phone.

Oh! Which resorts did you get to choose from? Which resorts did you pick? Where there any blackout dates? Which package did you pick? We are all living vicariously through you right now.

All I had to pick right now was the Hotel and package. We picked Beach Club and the Grownup and Romance package.

I wont know more till its over and I hear from Disney next month.


I thought for sure we would have another winner today!


Okay, this sounds stupid.. the day before I won.. I found a brand new penny face up at the grocery store. I picked it and DH laughed at me. I told him our luck cant get much worse! I keep that penny on all the time now!

Funny you say that. I sliced my right thumb open on Monday. Sliced my left thumb open on Tuesday. Slip and fell on ice today. Soooooo. My luck has to be looking up

Yep needed that hug Just been one of those weeks. Right thumb was on a bumper (I'm a claims adjuster). Left thumb on a sharp edge of my file cabinet. And there was black ice on a customer's driveway. Even if I don't win this I have my anniversary trip to plan.

came home and there was a message blinking on the answering machine. we *never* get calls on the home phone (except telemarketrs who dont leave messages)'. i frantically was looking thru the # s on the caller ID looking for 212, but didnt have my glasses on so couldnt see a darn thing......i just kept squintingand squinting trying to see. not sure why i didnt just play the message right away!

does anyone else feel like this is going to be a looooong month?

Yes!!!! I feel like it's already been the longest 9 nine days ever!

I really wish we'd here about more people winning. If I don't get a call it's at least fun to see other people enjoying good news and filling us in on all the fun details like Gantu has been so great to do!

I'm actually disappointed that no other winners have checked in. At least hearing from winners gives hope that we all have a chance. Meanwhile, not even a glimmer of a FedEx truck in the distance today. Maybe tomorrow.

That's odd that Ventura is asking for hotel and package choices. Ventura had nothing to do with that last year for OMDD; they were just responsible for picking the winner. We didn't have to pick hotel/package choices until Disney promotions got in touch with us.

That's odd that Ventura is asking for hotel and package choices. Ventura had nothing to do with that last year for OMDD; they were just responsible for picking the winner. We didn't have to pick hotel/package choices until Disney promotions got in touch with us.

Yeah, perhaps after our trips Disney decided it was easier for Ventura to handle that? I don't know, but I remember there being some hassles with pickings things through Disney, so maybe this will help the process. I wonder if the same people at DL and DW are running things this time...I remember some of us bugged the poor guy so much, lol.
