March 29, 2013 8 Nights on the Magic

Hello everyone, can someone help me to be in the right direcction, we are cruisin in the Dream Cruise feb. 21-24 and we will like to participated with the FE but I can not find any information. please help me.. thank you. We are four two girls 7 and 6 and we are deck # 7 cabin no to sure where to find that. ...

In the cruise meet section, look for dream cruises 2013. Once you find your sailing date, post on that meet. Have a great cruise.

You need to change it. It is only showing 5 cabins right now. Also, would you please put a space between our cabins .
Jordan and Terick will be in the Tween group.

Thanks

Updated the formula on page 2 of the FE List to now show the Cabin Count whether we know your number or not.

Navy Pier?

Just talked to a tour vendor in Key West and they said we are currently scheduled for the Navy Pier. When you are looking at the map, it is the one on the long J-hook by Fort Zachary Taylor.

The Navy Mole
The Navy Mole requires transportation to get into town. You will be met on the pier by trolleys and given shuttle service into town. There is no cost to this service. It is provided by the city of Key West. You will be transported to Mallory Square (in front of the Sponge Market). Walking is not an option, due to Homeland Security regulations. The Navy is still active on this pier.

Reminds me of the time I was almost arrested in Martinique for insisting on a tour of the cool old fort in broken French (read: active military base)

Can you help me I can not find the FE page 2 to update the list thanks

ZZelenia - here is the thread to see which thread you need to be on to enter the FE list, it lists out all the cruises on the Dream. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2819408

Then you scroll through that list and find your dates, and click on this link:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=45374428

Your FE list for the Dream for your dates will be there, hope you are able to connect successfully with the group. My helping you find page 2 of my list wont help you get into that FE.

Sorry you are not getting a response. In my experience less people participate in FE on shorter cruises. It takes up a lot of time delivering.

You should read through the entire meet. You should post that you are interested in FE.

Okay just read through your posts. I only saw one other person post about FE.

Probably no one else is interested.

Also, you just posted last night. You need to give people time to respond.

Welcome Misty. This group appears to have a few ringers. Were you concerned in a particular area?
There are some good tips on power strips and such a few pages back. Christi will tell you to double the money and half your stuff. I will recommend you don't miss the quest adult event. Many times it is the first night and overlooked. Bring a stack of singles for the room service guy if you like a late night cheese tray or cookies and milk.
Best advice is that DCL gives you too much to do. Pick your key items and enjoy them, there will be a next cruise for the others, and a next for the rest.

The other is to get the kids excited about kids club. They are the perfect age, and if they know about the cool stuff there like the princess party and making flubber etc the kids will ditch you and make you have some adult time. Then you can mix in the family parties in studio c around dinner for family time.

Welcome Misty!

I have 5 year old twins and this will be their 3rd Disney Cruise. I know when we took the sister ship, the Disney Wonder, a couple years ago both my kids seemed to have more fun than on the Disney Dream. My kids love Pluto's PJ party and there will be a pirate day when Captain Hook comes for a visit. Other charcters come to the Oceaneers Club for story time, etc. My son usually likes to go and he is hoping they do the Piston Cup Challenge on this cruise. I think they build and race cars but I'm not sure.
One bit of advice, before you board there is a place to check in your kids for their Mickey Band and the line is always long. If you don't want to wait in the long line you can also go to the Oceaneers Club or Lab once on board to get their Mickey Band.

Thanks for all the tips! The kids are very excited to go, it's all my daughter has talked about for 3 days now (thinking I should have told them closer to the time) glad there are at least two other 5 year olds on the ship :-) do they do a pirate party on the ship and do you get to have character meals? My daughter keeps asking.

We do have a pirate party. It is on Wed. night. It will start with a dance party up on deck around 9:45pm.

You will have an assigned character breakfast. It will be on a sea day. It will be based on your dining rotation. It will be Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. The characters have a designated route through Parrot Cay. They will make a brief stop at each table for a picture and autograph signing.

I was looking at the FE list and was like wow are my kids going to be the youngest in this group?? If you have any questions for me let me know especially with the young ones. If your luggage has room make sure you bring a princess dress for your daughter because she might feel left out if she doesn't have one. I also have brought a old Halloween costume for my son because some of the little boys dress up too!;)

How do you find out when/where the activities take place on the ship? I honestly know NOTHING about a cruise! :-)

Thanks! She has lots of princess dressed! We went to wdw about a year and a half ago and they loved it. Do the kids dress up for pirate party? I was thinking mine were going to be the youngest too, glad to see yours are going! What do you exactly do for the FE? I'm not sure what to bring/make? In sure ill have lots more questions!

You will get a sheet called a Navigator. It will list all the days activities. It will be left in your room the night before.

The pirate party is listed on your cruise Iterary. Once, you are in your booking window (75 days out you will be able to book excursions, adult dining, spa, etc.

You will need to go in a book your transportation to WDW.

I am a gold member (over 5 DCL cruises). I got to book at 110 days out.

Any questions you have , I will be glad to answer.

We will need to come up with a closing date for FE. How about closing it Feb. 28th? That will give everyone a month to get everything together.

If people want to join after that, they could start a separate group.

I would like to make a suggestion, that if we get over 25 cabins we split into 2 groups.

Christi

ETA: People could join both groups if they wanted. It just gets to be a lot of work top delivery more than that.
