Peanut sauce is now spicier. I could not taste a difference, hubby said he could.
All other sauces have been removed.

Salad now has mango and papaya added. Otherwise the same.

Vegetables are now green beans, broccoli, baby corn, onions, peppers and water chesnuts. Prepared in a stir fry style.

Everything else is the same.

We were told to give feed back as this was currently being trailed for month.

Can you request other sauces?

We have an ADR here for our trip in February however I can't eat peanuts!
I didn't list it as an allergy - I just get migraines if I eat peanuts - but DH can eat them. I'm not sure I want to eat all that meat dry!!!

There are 3 sauces served so you should be all set.

House Made Peanut Sauce
Chimichurri Sauce
Pineapple Sweet and Sour Sauce

Why add mango and papaya. It was fine the way it was.

WTH? Mango and papaya? My two LEAST favorite fruits. Oh Disney, why oh why must you continually ruin a good thing????

I was there last night.

Yup, only peanut sauce now. I didn't try it though so I can't comment on the taste.
I loved the addition of new veggies! Still the same great taste with some of my favorites!
The Salad was just as good with the mango and papaya, they are chopped small so it's not big chunks of fruit. I did notice the waitress said the dressing was different but I can't remember now what it was. Still tasted the same to me

NONE of those changes sound appealing to me & I have been so looking forward to my upcoming 'Ohana dinner.

I may have to change our reservation. I do not like mango and papaya. I can't stand onions and my stomach does not tolerate corn to well. I hope the trial is over by the time we get there and it goes back to the way it was.

No you cannot request other sauces and that's the one thing we were really disappointed in. I LOVE the peanut sauce but I need more than than for the meal. No matter how much you love it, it got old fast with no other sauces. We eat at Ohana a lot and know some servers there and one of them told us it's because no one used the sauces and so much was going to waste. I'd still like to be offered them though, even if they can't come as standard.

The salad changes you can easily get around, just pick out the fruit. I gave it a shot though and it was pretty tasty and I'm not one for fruit in my salad at all. If you don't like it you could easily not eat the small chunks of fruit. The dressing tasted exactly the same to me.

The vegetables again you can easily pick and choose the ones you want to eat and leave the rest. I personally like the addition of more veg. I don't like water chestnuts so those stayed in the bowl.

We gave our feedback and will continue to do so but honestly the sauces could be a deal breaker for us. The meal seems incomplete and boring in places without them.

I can see how automatically serving all 3 sauces can be wasteful, I typically only use the peanut sauce, but to completely remove all three just seems silly. Like how hard would it be to keep the sauce in the back and bring it out when requested.

We were on the fence on our OHana reservation for Feb but based on this I think we will cancel and see what shakes out after the trial.

Oh, no. I use the sweet & sour sauce. I liked the salad the way it was. And the veggies - I don't like peppers and onions don't like me. If they are all cooked together I can't eat any of the veggies at all because of the cross-contamination.

Will wait to hear the results of the trial. If the changes become permanent, there will be an ADR open in May because I'll have to cancel.

I had just cancelled my 'Ohanas ressie for tomorrow right before I read this thread. Now I'm even more certain I won't regret it.

They should atleast offer the sauces. My saucy kids love them ;)
Still have the chickn n noodles?
I hope us ohana lovers can unite n fight for our sauce ;)

Wow not good. Thankfully it doesnt really effect me...yet, but who knows what other changes will come :confused3

I dont like the veggies either way, I love fruit in my salad......but I am kinda sad about the sauces. I agree why not keep the sauce in back?
