Pete and I had an ADR for Les Chefs de France for lunch. And the best part was that Pete was actually feeling well enough to go! We checked in around 15 minutes early, and we were seated right at our ADR time.
We started with some French bread. It came with nearly frozen butter packets that we impossible to spread, but the bread itself was delicious.
Pete had Cassolette d'escargots de Bourgogne au beurre persille for his appetizer.
This was burgundian escargots baked in parsley and garlic butter. He really enjoyed these, but said that he would probably never order anything like them again.
For his entree, he had the Crepe Florentine.
It was a large crepe filled with chicken, spinach, mushrooms, and bechamel sauce. He thought this was just alright, and didn't eat that much of it. His appetite wasn't back to his usual, and he wanted to save room for dessert.
He had the fraisier sur coulis de framboise, sorbet fraise.
It was strawberry and cream cake, raspberry sauce, and strawberry sorbet. This was definitely his favorite part of the meal. This actually convinced him that we'll need to return to WDW sometime soon just so he can have this again.
I had Soupe A l oignon Gratinee (French onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese).
This was so, so good. I had no idea French onion soup could be so delicious.
I had the croque monsieur. I subbed fries for the salad that it normally comes with.
Everything about this was delicious. The was a huge pile of fries under the sandwich. Despite how much I wanted to finish all of this, there was just no way that I could if I wanted to have dessert (and who doesn't want dessert?).
For dessert I had Mousse au chocolat.
The mousse part was wonderful. It had a rich chocolate flavor. The little cake piece that came with it was very dry, and I didn't eat it.
During dessert, this guy came around:
Pete and I both loved Les Chefs. We definitely will go back on our next trip.
