Beer Delivery To Polynesian

Did a bit of researching the threads and it looks like there are a few options for beer delivery. I'm looking for someplace that will deliver Dale's Pale Ale to the resort - one of the better (if not the best) beer in a can you can purchase so something I can take to the pool with me. Has anyone recently used the Whole Foods or Beer Run delivery services? Beer Run lists Dale's as a beer they have but it looks like they may not have the best services. I'm assuming Whole Foods would have Dale's (and if not some other decent pale ale/IPA in a can like Sierra Nevada, Hop Ottin, etc.).

Thanks in advance

We used beerrun last Feb with no issues. I placed the order for a beer that wasn't on their list, a Long Island microbrew, and they were able to get it. IT was only $1 more than we are used to paying. I thought that was great!

We were checking in around 12pm and I asked for it to be delivered in the morning before our arrival. When we checked in, I called and had it delivered to the room.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Thanks, that's helpful. We aren't arriving till March 1 but I'll reach out to them and see what they can do.

If you are planning to have it in the pool area, the bottles will need to be plastic.

This thread made my day. :worship:
I love beer. I'm just starting to plan our trip, and the in resort beer selection didn't look all that robust. I should have known somebody would deliver. Any somewhat local/regional to Florida beers that are a must have?

Honestly, I don't know.

The owner of beer biz was a really nice guy who knew his stuff. He recommended a great stout based on what I told him I liked.

I would call/email and I'm sure he'll have suggestions for you.

The Cigar City Jai Alai IPA gets very good reviews. They used to have it at Raglan Road and I was looking forward to trying it but it appears Raglan has sold out and offers limited craft beers and is focused on Sam Adams brews

We used BEER RUn when we took our cruise and I would NEVER use them again. It took over 15 ( yes 15!) times calling to finally get my order placed. Then they only delivered 1/2 our order but still charged me for all of it. Have been calling for over 10 months now and no one will call me back.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like they are having some customer service issues since they also haven't responded to others' emails. We'll probably order from Whole Foods. They have a good selection, though a bit pricey ($30 delivery charge).

Geez, for a $30 delivery charge I wonder if you could get a cab to a nearby store to buy the beer? Might even find more favorable prices on the brews too.:confused3

I've been checking out beer run and they seem to be out of business! they have a link on their website to their facebook page and all the comments seem to be people stating they've called and emailed many times and have received no response!

Do have to be there when beer is delivered so that they can check ID?

It was just delivered to bell services.

I did speak with him over the phone about selections and I asked if he wanted me to scan my id and he said no.

Maybe if you just placed the order on line, I don't know.

It would be a shame if they did go out of business. It was a very convenient service!

Glad to see this post....DH would love some good beer, but the $30 WF fee is kind of steep!

By my way of thinking, rather than paying a delivery fee, I have found a better deal is just to get an inexpensive rental car.

A car is more than $30, but time is money and a car will save you time all week. In my opinion, as long as you get a reasonable price- it pays for itself. (If I think about how much I'm paying per hour of vacation).

I can also vouch that the WF on Sand Lake RD is an easy stop on the way from the airport. (take the north exit) It's also great place to grab a quick lunch. They have a huge and excellent buffet (hot and cold), lots of soups, really nice area to eat. They have seafood, pizza, smoked meats, fresh sqezed juice bar. There's also some great looking options next door, but we enjoy eating right at WF.

They also have a nice selection of beer. You might also offset the cost by getting groceries. WF is not low price, but it is good quality.

I sort of go back and forth on the idea of a grocery store run being worthwhile. I'm not big on eating meals in my room, or eatinf ood that's been in a backpack all day, but I like quality food. It's nice to have a few snacks and water on hand.

If you're not specifically after beer, and just want alcohol in general, DH and I have started packing a bottle of rum. It mixes well with many of the options available to drink in a refillable mug. ;)

ETA: We only did this at the pool; not in the parks or anything like that.
