Have read numerous post regarding Alice & Wonderland Tea on ship... Is that every ship? How do you make arrangements cause I don't see anything under Disney. Would love to plan for my 5 yo, Mom, Mother in law and myself (sorry haven't caught up on the shorthand of the board).

We did the Alice Tea on a 5 day Magic Cruise in 2011. My two girls loved it. I believe they do it on the cruises that are 5 days and longer. To sign up go to Guest Services as soon an you board, I think they only took 50-100 families. In addition to the tea/cookies and small show all the kids line up at the end and take pictures with Alice, the dormouse, and the Mad Hatter. There was not an additional charge for this fun. You may be able to call the cruise line and ask if that will be available for your particular sailing.

It is not always Alice who hosts the tea. In April we had Snow White lead us. then photos. Go to guest services to get reservations. Lots of fun. :hippie:

The Tea With ... (Alice, the Princesses, Disney Friends, whoever) is on the classic ships only. On those cruises of 7 nights and longer, although the Magic is currently offering it on her 6 night Galveston cruises.

Be aware it is themed for the kids in the group. No real tea, they serve apple juice and cookies. There are etiquitte lessons as to how to behave and interaction between selected kids and the characters. You don't have to have kids with you to go, adults come, also.

If your cruise is offering this, you get tickets (they're free, but limited) at Guest Services as soon as you board. I would point out, that if you decide to opt out after you've gotten tickets, please return them, there's always a waiting list.

We did the tea with Princesses on our last cruise, as Alice wasn't available. It was cute, and nice that it was free also. My daughter enjoyed interacting with the princesses. This was on the Wonder, and as others have said, we got the reservation at guest services. We're going to try again this coming cruise :-).

We had the Princess tea on our recent cruise on the Wonder. We received formal printed invitations delivered to our cabin a couple days before. They were from Ariel, inviting us to tea. Upon arrival, each girl was given a 'Disney Cruise Princess' pink sash, with button, and each boy a prince crown. They were then individually announced to a receiving line, who clapped for them upon entrance. "Introducing Princess __________", "Introducing Prince ______", and escorted to your table. All wait staff were wearing white gloves, and in formal wear. We, along with our children, were given a choice of drinks. We all had decaf English breakfast tea. The 'kiddie cups' weren't present, and our kids loved drinking their ice water from real glasses and their tea from 'fine china'. Served family style, they gave us plates of tea sandwiches (tuna, pb&j and ham & cheese), in little rectangles, with the crusts cut off. Also, we were given plates of an assortment of petite pastries, cupcakes, desserts and cookies. The princesses were announced at the beginning of the tea, and made their grand entrance. They visited with each table, and took pictures. Then their departure was announced, stating they would return in a little while. A few minutes later, Minnie and Daisy appeared in their formal wear, and danced with a few of the dads. They also posed for pictures with the guests. When they left, the princesses came back. It was one of the highlights of our cruise. princess:

The Tea with Alice on the Magic is much more casual. No real tea. No servers. No sandwiches. Just apple juice and cookies.
But the Mad Hatter was hilarious.

For the Princess Tea on the Wonder that the PP is talking about, invitations were sent to rooms with children only. The invitation said only two adults allowed per child. My DH and I were in our own room but were traveling with my sister and her two kids. She received an invitation while my DH and I did not. We were able to attend under my sister's invitation. If you are traveling without children, you will not be invited.

The above happens just on the longer cruises like the PC & TA and must have been on the recent PC repo. We attended this Princess at Sea even on the EBPC repo in 2008. It does NOT occur on a 7-night cruise.

we're on the EBTA so a lot of sea days to fill - something like 10 - so this would be nice for an hour or so.

It turned out to be much nicer than I had expected it to be. I was impressed with the details that DCL covered for it. All of the princesses and their escorts went around to each table to sign autographs and take pictures.
